I was actually friends with her way back before her Olympic days. I had friends (after fighting the same people over and over in judo you get to be friends with them) who trained at her same dojo (hayastan)... everyone who trained there was an utter badass and nobody wanted to fight them hahaha. You can see why..

Crikey, Bas must have at least 50 lbs on Ronda and gets thrown like he weighs nothing...

Holly S**T Shes GOOD!!

I used to do Judo when I was young... It's a very demanding martial arts.

Here is a picture that featured in my states Judo competition handbook...

Like I said it's extremely demanding on your body... try getting thrown like this for 2 hours straight, 4 times a week...

Or getting one of these....

Unfortunately I was the youngest and smallest one there... so I got thrown around a lot. Not enough interest in my age group at the time so I was used as a test dummy for the older guys. But fortunately that build my strength and endurance up, to the point where, when I was fighting people my age, I would annihilate them. Too bad, it got in the way of study and I had to give it up :(

^^ Good form. I was amazed at how much slapping the mats actually did to slow you down.

Thanks  (been doing it for 15 years so I would hope so by this point :p) less slowing you down and more just absorbing the impact. That throw was probably around the 130th time I got thrown that day haha out of a total of 150... Plus throwing 80 times... Was a bit sore the next day.

Wow that chick is incredible! I wish there was a Judo school closer to where I live.

This surprised me too, getting thrown hurts a lot more when you don't slap the mat. :D
