I didn't see one of these anywhere so I thought I'd fire one up:whistle:

What kind of music does everyone like? what are your biggest favorite artists?

I am a Rock/Heavy Metal lover, as well as a huge progressive rock enthusiast and just about all rock from classic rock(60's/70's/80's) to punk and alternative rock.

My older brothers were teens in the late 80s and them and all their friends were big into rock and metal. Safe to say they heavily influenced my music tastes :p

My biggest favs though are:

Van Halen - Loved these guys since I was a little kid growing up in the 80's ( I am 35) They were also the first band I saw live, My older brothers got me a ticket to go see Van Halen with them for my 12th birthday at Pine Knob. I have since seen Van halen 5 more times over the years

Rush - Best progressive rock band IMO. Love these guys from Canada. Soooo many great songs/albums. I had the huge pleasure of seeing them live for the R40 tour last year. I was literally in tears I was so excited to be there.

Iron Maiden - Also been listening to these guys since I was little, So many great songs. Best band to come out of the UK since the beatles IMO :p Seen them live over 5 times, most recent was earlier this year with 1 of my 2 older brothers. Up the irons!

Metallica - Been a long time listener of this iconic group as well, seen them live 4 or 5 times. I love their older stuff best

Led Zepplin - Never seen them live, but know damn near all their music. they are legends

Volbeat - Only discovered these guys in about the last year or so, love them though. Lots of really good music! very talented group. would love to see them live

Tool - Another great Prog group. Been a long time listener. Would love to see them live

Dream Theater - Love these guys, seen them live twice. They are super talented, lots of great music

Slipknot - Been listening to these guys since they started, I am an un official maggot :p seen them live 3 times. Super good heavy-ness

Other bands I have seen live and are all very good;

Def Leppard
REO Speedwagon
Styx
Ozzy
Mudvayne
Lamb of God
Hatebreed
Imminent Sonic Destruction
Steve Vai
Joe Satriani
Megadeth
Between the Buried and Me
Kings-X

Completely depends on my moods and workload. It can range from The Mamas and the Papas, The Birds, The Stranglers (Golden Brown is one of my favorite songs) all the way across the spectrum to Norwegian death metal. Maybe 1% hiphop horray ho hey ho...if im traveling for long distances and getting bored or tired. Slayer is good on the way back from contractor meetings.
This generations trend music reminds me of Chris Tucker in The Fifth Element.
I cannot stand listening to music on the F.M.

I am completely ashamed of myself that i only recently discovered this gem: Megadeth: Rust in peace.

This album absolutely kills it. Holy hell is it good. 10/10
