So this black friday/cyber monday I worked both days.

I also slept in late over the weekend and thanksgiving:D

Didn't go anywhere within a mile of a retail store.

Still I was watching for deals and picked up three things that I've been meaning to buy for a while.

Replacement/second 27" monitor for $170 regular price is $303.

New point and shoot camera, waterproof/shock resistant, normal price is $220+, snagged it for $160.

SSD, Intel 320, 120GB. Don't know what the normal price is on it, and I know it's not top of the line, however it has decent reviews and benchmarks. Picked it up for $110. So less than $1/GB:D

So what deals did you guys snag?

At $30 they are kind of tempting. Not that I would ever really have a use for them:p

Thanks for the heads up on them:D

Btw, the deals I got, the monitor is from overstock.com, and the SSD is from buy.com.

The camera was from amazon... but it's gone up in price by well over a $100 now.

I know I'm kicking myself so hard for not jumping on the Rigel-6 at LG. It was 350$ last night, now 500$. :banghead:

That was my line of thought, too. "it would just sit on the shelf most of the time... but... it would look pretty good sitting on the shelf..."

I snagged a pair too... they will look nice on one of my shelves

Also will be interesting for me to see IR through these:D

Can't wait to take my dog out for a late night walk, hopefully I don't freak anyone out:tinfoil:

I bought some C2 host and P7 flashlight from Deal-extreme. It was 50% off and free shipping. I don't know how the guys do it, so cheap.

I picked up an ipad 2 64G wifi only from a retailer who sells them about $100 less than apple (I already have a mifi hotspot, and a gps on a screen that big is really only wank factor :p). So I guess I saved, even though we dont have black friday over here. JB (the retailer) is know for having occasional specials. I was also tempted to get a point and shoot camera, but figured that could wait a few weeks (and thus get a better model), the ipad and its accessories was splurgy enuf :p

I grabbed an iPod Touch from Best Buy. Black Friday deal + 10% cashback from one of my credit cards means pretty good deal! Finally have a smaller device to test my apps on ;)

Very nice:)

Glad I'm not the only one that splurged a little:p

Best Buy didn't seem to have any super deals, but a few decent ones.

Yeah they had the same deal that Apple did for the iTouch. The nice part really came from the 10% cashback that I get on top of that ;)

All I got from "Black Friday" was an upset stomach and a bad case of diarrhea.

But i suppose that doesn't count.

Shouldn't eat things "on sale" even if it is a great price...

^^^You crazy canadians! Don't you know you shouldn't stuff yourselves with leftovers?:na:

Sorry to hear that you were sick. I had to take a rare day off from work earlier in the month because of food poisoning. It truly sucks. The only thing you can do is try to stay hydrated and flush your system as fast a possible... which unfortunately means a whole lot of :toilet: so grab a magazine.
