Yah the lasers are tough to beat. I got caught with one on my way to work. Sheriff posted up at the end of the causeway, never saw him. :(

agreed. yeah if the cops use lasers there is no chance, i guess the only reason the radar detector would look for lasers is to know when you've been caught... not for before.

The radar detection is useful as they just spray it down the line and it is easy to detect. However, it's the laser which is almost unavoidable like others said. It's because it is a focused beam (well, more focused than radar) and they actually target a person with it and shoot rather than just waiting for someone to pass through the beam. So, the only way to detect it ahead of time is if they are out of range or you catch an incident reflection... but, their range is REALLY far (I think like >1000ft), so your best chance is a reflection which is also not very likely. Usually you end up getting the blazing alarm after you're already screwed :)

also, FYI: DJ Tiesto is the best DJ alive. no one else compares.

there is no discussion over this, DJ Tiesto is the best and that's final.

dose anyone know what the power of thoes lasers are ? seems like the way to get around this one is to spray back a beam with a pulse rate that equiles the speed limit, any beam you send at the detector will be stronger than it's own reflected beam and should over ride it. not that I would avocate breaking the law, would having a device like this be against the law ?

These radar detectors are already illegal themselves in a lot of states...

I thought there was a law or something like that that you have to be able to see the Copper from at least 200feet away to give you time to slow down ??

Nope... they can pull you over whenever they want :D

I dont use a radar detector... because I don't speed :p

I got all that out of my system early... because I've had fast cars since I was 15 and I got my license on my 16th birthday. I've had my share of tickets and have decided that it's just not worth speeding over. The government takes enough of my money, I like to hold onto as much as I can :D:D:D
