Not that original, people were drinking this stuff over 100 years ago. Where do you think "Coca-cola" originally got its name? It was a coca wine back in the day.

I suppose it is more unusual to see in alcohol nowadays though, but Coca-Cola still to this day uses coca leaves in its soda. But as Toke points out, "The coca leaf content of the drink, like that in Coca-Cola, has the cocaine alkaloids removed during production, and does not contain any traces of the drug."

It was removed from sale in Taiwan, because trace amounts of cocaine were found in the beverage.

Why run in circles when you could sit back and mellow. I'll stick with good old absinthe. They still export the good stuff out of the Czech Republic.:eg: 100+ mg/kg Thujone.

I've never had absinthe. Never was much of an experimenter with drugs. Smoked marijuana for a year or two as a teenager but that was it.
What's it like?

It is drunk with a mellow buzz. Have not had it in years. Don't drink anymore but I used to drink it all the time. Gets to be an expensive habit if you live in the US.:undecided:

Think I'll stick with the rye and coke.
My grandfather used to drink coca-cola but they used to drop an aspirin into it to get high...
I used to get wasted a couple times a year but have never done any recreational drugs. I didn't even take my percocet/oxycotin pills when I messed up my hand, one regular advil a day for 3 days after the amputations.

Its very good , it has a very high , dill seed, anise flavor. Your supposed to pur it into a glass, get a absynth spoon (slotted spoon) place a sugar cube on top and slowly pour cold water into the drink by way of the sugar cube, give a quick stir and drink away.
