Are there any traffic numbers for the site pre and post Arctic?

That may or may not be terribly interesting but I would think so . . .

Or how many new users signed up near the media coverage on the Arctic.

C0ld has access to more accurate data (Google Analytics), but I don't think he's shown anyone else his analytics info yet.

Same thing happened at theoildrum.com after the gulf oil leak. The regulars added the following to the Terms of Service: "To sign up to this forum you are required to place a plastic bag over your head and secure it around your neck with a zip tie. When the screen starts to get dark click OK." Darwin provide.

except for the bickering between the noobs and the "veterans", shouldn't this be a positive for the for the forum? more traffic can bring in more revenues from advertised sponsors and maybe more donations from some noobs that were not insulted demeaned or trashed.

this increased amount of traffic can help financially if handled properly!

my .02 cents, only a nooby, so maybe a penny.

One man's "trashing" is another man's educating.
