Nice Looking setup. Two 27" monitors are enough for me for now, but I think if I come across a super deal on a ~42" tv, I might just add it as a third larger monitor on top.

Of course that will involve mounting it on a wall, upgrading the video card, which means upgrading the psu.... and well it just keeps going from there:p

What kind of graphics card(s) are you using?

Just one card actually, gforce 9600gt. The monitor on the left I'd hooked up via a USB to DVI adapter, yes I said USB. It will actually display full 1080p resolution and 720p video. Great buy for only 60.00 at compusa/tiger direct. Its made by DIAMOND. USB powered and uses Intel DirectLink. This is native to windows. It uses a virtual graphics driver so if you have a good processor and ram its an awesome idea.

ALSO with USB 2.0 in theory u could have 256 of them Ô.õ

Honestly I'm surprised how well it works :D

From the reviews I've read, using it for video and gaming are a waste of time.

To Monitors:p

Not that I really needed it, but I just picked up a 4th 27" monitor.

It will most likely replace one of the two monitors I use at home, and one of those will end up in the office replacing a 19" model.

Anyone else find themselves on a constant quest/obsession to perfect things?

sure, but not sub 27" monitors!

The cheap shot came outta no where...ooops

It depends on your overall setup. With the one I picked up it will do 720p video at 30 frames/second. I got it because I didn't think about using more than one video card and only have one slot on the moboard

I know the stats. Its just a lot of people complain about the lag, and shutter. Its drives me mad also.

Interesting. My processor is more than adequate, reality is aside from actually testing it, I never use it to anywhere near full capacity. Kind of sucks that many programs are also still not optimized to use 8 threads, but only run on one.

Considering the third monitor I have on hand is just an old 19" tn, with not even 1080 resolution.... it's something I'll look into.

From the reviews I've read, using it for video and gaming are a waste of time.

For gaming, or probably even very high res/high frame count content probably not, but for things like browsing/youtube it's probably enough.

Huh? I'm confused.

About the high frame rate, you are correct, for gaming i just unplug the usb and it acts as if it was never there, but for browsing, image editing and video 720p and below its very hard to notice a difference. If the mother board cant accommodate another graphics card ( :( ) then whatcha gonna do lol.

With USB 3.0 coming about mainstreem i wouldnt be suprised if monitors start coming with it inbedded. USB 3.0 would do the video content at full 1080p and also supply the power, imagine finally having only one cable for each screen!
