Just finished washing the beast and thought it would be fun to see what others are cruising the strip in. :)

Nothing beats a Cummins :)

Keep my vehicles very clean inside and out but the weather has been cruddy so not taking pics:(
Work truck is an extended chevy express van but it's not mine but I do get to drive it home.
Own 2002 Lexus RX300 (beautiful vehicle that my 19 year old son is trying to destroy), 2005 Honda Pilot EXL, 2010 Lexus HS250H (hybrid) premium and a 2012 Prius PHEV (Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) advanced. Don't owe anything on any of them. Daughter (who's living with us, going to school and works) just bought a 2013 Honda Fit sport with Navigation for her first car (huge space and a fun little car for such a small vehicle). No, I'm not an envrionmetal wacko but I do like the great gas mileage:) And, I'm NOT against American cars.
Truck gets about 12 mpg but the company pays for the gas. Averaging 150mpg on the Prius this month so far.
Somehow I'm thinkin your truck doesn't fit in the garage:) Looks great but man I can't stand trying to keep a black vehicle clean. The Prius is a dark metallic grey and that's a pain (not as bad as my daughters black fit though). Actually keep the Pilot in the garage just because it's so much more work to keep it clean because of the size.

I drive a 1998 subaru forester, the earliest year you can get in the U.S. not so special, but it fills quite a few purposes, I even fit a 3 seat couch in it once. I've sunk over $10,000 into it in the past 2.5 years, so I wont be selling it any time soon, no one would give me more than $3000 for it, though after an engine rebuild it has only 25,000 miles on it. Transmission is about the only thing I have not replaced (knock on wood), it has over 200,000 miles on it.

In the back I have one of these, pushed by around 1600 watts at 1 ohm. as the specs say, this beast could handle another 800 watts before hitting peak, but this way it is harder to blow:POWER Subwoofers - T2D215 - Rockford Fosgate®

If your system is louder than mine, you probably do bass competitions. my box takes up pretty much the whole rear, though I can put things on top of the box. And no, my tweaters are not stock. yes, I know hcca orions hit harder, but I can not afford an amplifier to push one, and my s*** is ridiculous enough as is. I love to go camping, park near the fire, and keep the animals up all night. Usually it's a good idea to bring another car and some jumper cables:D

Sorry no pics, I would, but I am currently over 1200 miles from my ride, maybe later

my box is custom, the walls are 3/4 inch MDF. Or maybe 1 inch, not sure anymore. I will do some pics, maybe an excursion vid, though I only have a cheap digital camera. I wont be back to it until the 21st

I love when people hear it and ask how many subs I have. I tell 'em and they're like, "damn, just one?" then they see that "just one" takes up my whole rear area

I drive an '05 double cab TRD Tundra. It's not much to look at, but it's been a great truck!

DAMN!!

Well you have no excuses about making the drive to NC and getting to meet me at SELEM (aug 15 to 18). If you seek riders to split gas I can line you up with some.

The transportation is the hardest part of doing SELEM- all the rest like lodging is easy and very affordable-- adult guests attend free and teenagers with an interest in lasers can come too if you get with the host 'buffo' Adam in advance- too many dangerous stuff going on there for the younger kiddos--

about a carpool.

I have not met them all in person so perhaps meeting them before the event would be wise-- One guy that may be OK is Gennedy(< or Mr. Post whore as I call him- j/k lol) Infinitus Equatis- lives close to NYC and has been wanting to do SELEM for a few years.. As long as were are always careful with our handhelds there are welcome at the event. Best to never use them outdoors near the venue or hotel- and never while a show is going on. <-- that would be akin to tooting a trumpet at a concert--lol

I really got lucky at SELEM 2010 & 2011 by winning doorprize items with a value of more than $500 each time--2012- not so lucky- AixiZ usually sends a bunch of great lab lasers and one QS Fb3 (SMRP $600+)with me.

we pay 60$ to attend.
but $20 of that is used to get us each ONE knit polo shirt (black) - with a real mono grammed SELEM logo- extras can be ordered one month prior to the event for $20 each- not many extras are made up..

so for $40 we get to see maybe 18 or so hours of state-of -the-art laser shows all in a private setting, Super photo OP. Meet the owners of these PJs and in some cases they are DIY rigs-

whats the catch??

this--
come early (thurs morn) to help set all 20+ projectors up(two venues now-too many full color PJs for just the main auditorium) and stay late )sun after 5pm) to help take down and load up. thats it--you get the experience of being a Lasershow operator 'roadie' for one weekend-

We have total access to all areas- a great BS &T room- and so much more..seminars-demos of new stuff- and more.

I will not say sorry for jacking this thread a little.

Any that attend SELEM wil not be sorry either-- PM me with any SELEM Qs.

don't try

DO!!

hak

wanna see what we saw in person??-- google SELEM and see the UTube vids..

Well- start now to make SELEM 2014- There are a few from Fl. that make the drive of fly every year-- you can go the many concerts w/ lasershows but nothing like what we have at SELEM-

My main ride is my dads old '99merc white wagon (sable)
my other ride needs some more parts to be back on the road
1985 BMW K-100- touring bike.

I paid less for my car than many of my lasers. We'll leave it at that :shhh:

The most expensive part of my car is the gas I put in to it every month. Well over $300/mo in fuel alone.
