traded in my 4 cylinder avenger for a 2010 Dodge RAM 1500. 4WD, crew cab, leather seats.
I didn't see the point of spending an extra $15,000 to get one brand new. Nor did i have the money to do that. I got this for 19,500. traded in my car and they gave me $500 more than what i owed on it. My payments are $359/ month

I was having to climb into the truck, so I put on those steps. Now it seems low so I'm going to have to get it lifted....
Also, apparently cruise control is not a standard option with the RAM. It's wired up for it, but I need to purchase a $180 switch to plug into the steering wheel. That's rape IMO.
I think i'm going to add bed rails to it as well. Working on the lights, siren, PA and radio right now which is going to run me $500-$600. Well worth it to yell at people over a PA system though.
It has a dual exhaust and is loud as hell. I know people call me a douche bag when I drive by, but i love it.
it's only a 4.7L which is disappointing. my friend has a new ram with the 5.7 HEMI and those things can really mvoe when you want them to.

I think I'm going to custom build me some bed rails out of square tubing flat steel. I have an idwa in mind. Should look wicked compared to the typical round ones. Looks like the Rams are taking over!

Edit: I have a cb in mine with a 600W linear. Can usually reach up to virginia from florida with the crappy ground plane I have. If I put my front tires in a lake and the atmosphere is roght I can get cali! Talk to thos big boys on channel 6!

I went to the dealer intending to buy a newer model Silverado. But then found this truck which was the same year, same mileage and MUCH NICER than the silverados for about $4000 less.
The only defect this has is a few dents in the bed, but it's a damn truck. I would be suspicious if the bed looked nice.
Speaking of which, I got the raptor spray on bed liner kit, just have to get around to doing it. It's a lot more prep work than i expected....

I love my ram, i have the 2500 and my dads got a '03 1500 with the 4.7L. I love the Hemi in mine and i use EVERY drop of the 38 gal tank (when you get 13mpg you need all the fuel you can have)!!!!! plan on putting a cold air intake and put a chip in it. as soon as my muffler starts going im chopping it and running a 45 degree out in front of the rear tires. i have a R/T hood and bed stripe (similar to the superbee tail stripes)

do you guys have the digital mpg readout in yours? ever zero it and smoke the tires? i tend to cry after i look up a it and see 0.5 mpg

I keep a snow shovel and sand in the back in case i get stuck. I would love to have a winch to wrap around something and pull myself out...

if mine gets stuck id take my dads truck and pull it out or the tractor :p
i have a wench on my ATV but never had to use it yet. bought it after i dug that into the swamp on my land, then got my dads stuck trying to pull mine out, then got the tractor stuck and spun the tire off the rim, almost got my dads truck stuck trying to pull the tractor out and finally had to get a farm tractor over to pull my tractor and two ATVs out.
oh yeah so my other rides are a 2001 Honda Rancher 350 4x4, 2000 Honda Rancher 350 4x4, 2006 Yamaha YZ250F and 2002 Yamaha YZ125. the YZ250F has about $15,000+ dropped into it in parts :D

I'm in corporate finance. Don't get me wrong it took me a long ass time to get this car. I had a POS beater for many, many years.
