ive been on line rental for the past 6 years or so and also had my crappy 6280 for 2 years.
so i decided to upgrade to a phone thats upto date with latest media/software and of course a good camera so i can take laser pics at a higher quality.
im more than likely to go for the samsung G-800 because its decent sized, looks smart and has a 5 megapixel camera.
does any1 have this phone? care to do a mini review of the camera? or even snap some laser pics to give me a good understanding of what to expect.
the LG Viewty was way out of my price plan but looked kinda big too.

if any1's not seen this

I can't tell you anything about the Samsung G-800 but I have just got the viewty and it sure is an amazing phone. All the features of a mid range camera, with a good mp3 and Divx player, Full internet browsing and full touch screen. With it's Divx enabled play, I can compress a 2 hour (1gb) movie down to about 180mb, with very little loss of Quality.
The built in video camera has a high speed mode (its captures at 120 fps, and replays it at 15fps to achieve super smooth slow motion shots) focus is either manual or auto with iso speed from 100 to 800 selectable. white balance and picture quality is adjustable, as well as a plethora of camera modes and effect styles.

Zoom is up to X16 and the flash is a true Xenon with all the usual modes for red eye reduction, etc. The phone also has an installed picture and video editing suite, similar to windows movie maker, where you merge your clips into a storyboard and add titles, texts, wipes overlays etc. The stills suite is equally powerful, allowing many popular effects and extras such as picture morphing

My phone came with Google maps app and Youtube app, you can even upload your videos to Youtube with a single keypress
Internet access is pretty fast too, using 3G and HSPDA.

The screen is a very big 3" TFT LCD display with 420 X 260 resolution with 256K colours. Alphanumerical input is one of 3 ways. Standard mobile phone layout with multiple presses to get the right letter. A full QWERTY keyboard, and finally handwriting recognition.

I would recommend this phone to anyone, it does pretty much everything the Iphone does, but with a better camera and not as big as the Iphone either.

darklands, get a SonyEricsson. You will never regret it!

The camera in there is better than most point and shoots. The phone has more functions than any other. The prices are VERY competitive. The build quality will last you a lifetime! Trust me... ;D I've wanted a new phone for the past 2 years, but I can't find anything wrong with my k759i yet! :-?

I got the GF a K800i though... it is phenomenal, and I'm being modest... ;)
