Cruel but affective. I've used my 200mw red (true >200mw of energy) to zap spiders and ticks. It would be a lot better if it could be culminated on-the-fly though (no pun intended) because the intense light scares the bugs before the power is culminated enough to fry them.

Ha..ha..I tried it on a bug once and had the same problem...I ended up stomping on the bug. An auto focus for a laser would definitely awesome.. ;D

Spiders "see" red and cower quickly. I think they have night vision so --- Use GREEN !!! Flys however see green real good. Let them land on a screen and use RED from inside!!!
I think AlGore put brown flour bugs on the protected species list. Hitting them in a bag of flour is "hunting in a baited field" They might not be too bad simered in some gravy however

LOL, I have a friend who bakes a lot, and brings his food to work, it kept getting eaten by his co-workers, so he decided to just cook the little buggers in his cookies, long story short no one ever touches his food since ;D

Poor little bugs.

I must be getting old in my old age but I find it more and more difficult to do away with bugs, especially spiders. To think I used to pull the legs of them. Now I keep them around me because they hoover up the bad bugs. In fact I have a tiny spider that lives in my car and I leave it because it gets rid of the other dirty bugs.

I normally catch bugs and let them go out the window etc instead of killing them.....even although Im tempted to getting the Nexus to them lol.

Nah, bugs are cool because if I was one I would invade every sack of flour to annoy as many humans as possible ;D

@ mike: I gotta remember that! Now that I got a greenie on the way (Thanks senkat! everyone, if senkat offers you a dealon a laser, take it! he sells rock-bottom!!!) I'll use it to fry the spiders...

Harmless insects I dont mind, like crickets, beatles, caterpillers, etc. However Misquitos, spiders, etc I hate, and Gnats and flies annoy the hell out of me so I cant help but want to fry them... A spider bit my mother and she's had a lwoer immune system ever since (YES! PERMANENT IMMUNITY DAMAGE!!!)) So now we kill every spider we see. And IMO lasers are much nicer than the blowtorch I used the otehr day *insane grin* (yes, I really did take a 4000*F blowtorch to one, I dont think he ever knew what hit him he burned up so fast!)

@ nairb: lol! I would do the same if I were a bug, would be nice to be a spider and lay eggs in a politicians ear so when tehy hatch they eat his brain...... bah, who am I kidding, nobody would ever notice... (lol!)
