PSP 3000

is it worth it? has anyone tried one? I found that the "core" pack is only $169. I think I'm in need of an upgrade as mine is in crap condition from being second hand :-/ the one I had that got stolen was in like new condition along with the camera 2 4gb memory cards all my movies and games and a ton of other stuff :'( :'( :'(

Anyone know whats new besides the screen is much better and a few cosmetic changes and a new brightness setting? i heard the new firmware is better but haven't found much on it

IF ANYONE HAS A PSP SLIM THAT IS IN DECENT CONDITION FOR SALE FOR A REASONABLE PRICE I WILL TAKE IT!!! once I get the money :-[

Dont get it just yet. If your ok without custom firmware,then go ahead.
But im going to wait till Dark Alex Finds a Way To Exploit the new 3000.

Not too worried about custom firmware just yet, I still have a semi functioning slim with 4.01m33-2 (i think) 4. something anyways but the screens almost dead and the buttons aren't responsive enough to really play games

i wonder how TERRIBLE the psp3000 sales are doing right now :

sony must be kicking themselves in the freaking head right now after releasing this failsystem. screw a new screen and mic, im interested in a faster cpu, more ram, and better flash support. i bet right now sony is counting on DAX to hack it cuz they know the sales will freaking skyrocket!

I Stand Corrected,but From my Knowledge the psp Firmware 5.00 Included a Flash update to the web browse.

I've been trying to find someone with one so I can test it

see if it's worth it but then I can't use my hundreds of ISO and programs :'(

psp did not get flash update. ps3 got flash 9, psp did not

unless it can emulate the psp firmware entirely (which it cant) then thats a no go. there would have to be a psp emulator already (which there isnt) to be able to port it to another system. there are WIP psp emulators, but none are even close to being even considered an emulator.

Don't get too excited! The PSP-3000 still hasn't been hacked yet! But I'm sure with his mad skills that's not too far off ;D

Yes it is 100% to happen. There Saying the psp 3000 has the old TA-090 Motherboard which is what the slim used.

Yea but it doesn't have pandora so it's not gonna be that easy. He has to find all new exploits now.
