Very nice collection Pman, You better wake up your "watch" dog though, because I only count 130 watches! ;)

The dog is about 15 and deaf. Weird how she still barks as if she wasn't.

It seems the norm not to own a watch or own one and not wear it these days. All about the phone now. As I think I said, I use the phone to set the watch time and then look at the watch. It is easier to glance at the watch with a wrist turn than taking out my phone from its Otterbox Defender anyways.

Everyone should own a Casio. See how nice that one Kilter posted looks. For me, it's not about $, it's about what you personally like. Don't appreciate the watch snobs out there.
My daily wear watches are both in the 5th pic up from the bottom. The blue one that I have 2 of was a $5 from China and the black one below it to the left which is a Fossil 1/10 sec chronograph 10 atm that has a scratch across half of the crystal (came that way with a bunch of other watches from Ebay buy). Still try not to damage them.
I do have all the necessary tools for opening any of them for battery changing, sizing etc... but nothing in the way of hand removal. One of my favorites is an old Seiko Mickey mouse that I had the movement and crystal replaced on as it was special from my father.
The only ones I haven't worn are the ones in the second pic. The sub-dials are all fake in those. They were all free add ins to other buys and do work. Anyone want them? You have to take them all though;)
The first watch I ever got was a Christmas about 40 years ago or so that was just a simple red LED that would light up bright. I remember being so fascinated by it that I barely slept that night. Couldn't stop pushing the button to make it light up. Cannot remember whatever happened to it.
Haven't purchased practically anything other than basic necessities since this whole Workers Comp thing (out of work since April) has been going on. Don't see the light at the end of the tunnel right now and it's a decent possibility I won't be able to go back. Not helping that I'm almost 50. That's life.

EDIT

Not going anywhere tomorrow but today I go to physical therapy and not only am I wearing a black and orange watch, it's also "skeletonized" (can see all the gears);)

I do have a thin gold plated pocket watch I got from a trip to Richmond.
I don't know if it has a real gold coat on it but I forgot how much my parents bought it for.
I will post a picture once I have time and IF I find it

I think it's not gold plated or very valuble. ;( The fact that the watch says quartz in big letters displays that it is cheaper :( Still cool looking though!

Ok, I thought so.
I beat it up quite a bit too.
I guess my parents probably wouldn't have giving me something of great value to play with at a younger age :p

If you like it then it has whatever value you place on it regardless of actual monetary;)

If I had a few hundred thousand $$$ to spend,
I would probably spend it on this:

I've always been fascinated by Vianney Halter’s Deep Space watch.
Maybe one day if I saved 50% of everything I made :p
Then again I think to myself, "that's a bit too much for something that my $10 tool can do".

that's what I thought at first
The gear system in the center is constantly rotating and revolving.
Its purpose is to make a more accurate clock by always rotating the gear system so gravity doesn't pull in one vague direction consistently (thus its as if the gears are floating in space)

The 2 blue things on the side are the main hands. The gear system is just the inner clock work.

Oh. I see it now! So instead of tourbillon on side and watch hands, it has disks and middle tourbillon? Thats cool!

Not really a collection, but I'll tell you about my watches: one is a Casio Men's G7710-1; it replaced my old classic Casio from 1990. I loved that old one, but its little incandescent light just used too much power and was too dim. Supposedly this "new" watch has a 10-year battery in it, which is why I opted for that instead of those solar powered ones. I also love that inverted LCD digital display and the dedicated light button.

Aside from the standard stopwatch/alarm/timer/etc. Casios all have, there are so many crazy features on this one I don't really use: many different timezones, daylight savings time mode, second-accurate timers (instead of minutes), multiple alarms, different brightness levels for the LCD, LEDs that blink when the alarm/timer goes off, even some decorative animated ring around the outside.

Hard to beat a casio for a great all around do anything watch. So many styles and hardly any worries about breaking it. Own the 3 G100 style cloth band versions, a "fishfinder" got off Ebay new for maybe $10 and another that is in the same price ($15) as the maroon one but with the day and date.
Think the maroon one looks nicer though but both of them come in different colors.
