Ya that's the option I might end up going with. According to my research they used to be an American company that got sold to somewhere in the UK. I'm not sure where they are assembled but the parts now come from China.

Reviews are far and few in-between but I read they are ok. It's worth considering and they look nice.

Cool, please write a review here if/when you get it.

Edit: found this review: http://www.wristwatchreview.com/2012/09/18/review-ingersoll-boonville/
It apparently uses a Chinese Seagull ST-16 movement (pretty damn good quality) or a replica of it (still pretty damn good) for 350 bucks it's not bad!

Since my Movado is more or less restored. I think I will be buying my next project when time permits. I love vintage watches the problem is the vintage watch market is so random. It goes through spurts of people mass buying driving up prices or it seldom has a slow time where you can get some great deals on pieces worth restoring without too much work (mainly cosmetic).

Anyhow when time and money does permit I have yet to own an automatic watch and in terms of vintage I have yet to own a vintage longines. So I will be in the market for a vintage automatic longines I suppose. Price wise realistically it will probably end up being an admiral or conquest.

you should start with something like this
Vintage Longines Wittnauer Stainless Steel Black Dial Mens Watch 11ESB 17J 1960 | eBay
Makes longines without the price tag :)

I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual which looks nearly identical to this:

787-0.jpg

It was my granddad's, family heirloom basically. pretty old, around 40 years, not been serviced either recently or at all, the oyster strap is pretty knackered and the glass face was replaced with something not exact to the original. Probably devalued a bit but it's a trusty workhorse and only needs retuning once every month or so!

WOW beautiful watch! Air Kings and Submariners are my favorite Rolex models. I think that they are classy and their styles are immortal!

I own this watch,

I wear it all the time and I have beat it up quite a bit, but it still works perfectly.

I like it! I assume it automatically syncs to atomic time via radio waves? Citizen watches are the best for durability!

Yes it does, it also has a perpetual calendar, and is solar powered!

It should last forever anywhere in the world! (It has a setting for every timezone the world)

I'll post some pics tonight. Some nice watches on here. I see my everyday wear (well not everyday, but most often worn) watch in Pman's collection... Citizen Nighthawk titanium. Bought it in 2007, never did any kind of maintenance on it except to keep it clean, and it's working perfectly. Still looks almost new.

Big fan of Citizen watches... although a few have failed me, the batteries need replacing, and I'm too lazy to send them out to citizen (they are all eco drive).

Also have Seiko, Croton, Movado, and some other ones.

Big fan of special materials... Tungsten and titanium in particular.

No longer really in the market for watches, rarely wear one except to go out, but one thing I would like to add to my collection is a good watch that has tritium markers. Any suggestions that are not outrageously expensive?
