Tilt Brush got updated with sound reactive brushes and I'm digging this

I made it with just three colours and 4 brush stokes, combined with the spinning mirror trick. The gif is no comparison to how it actually looks. It's so bright and vivid in the headset.

That looks VERY trippy! My plan to get the vive is a bit on hold due to unexpected expenses, but I hope to still get it sometime next 2-3 weeks. I can definitely see spending hour upon hour playing with sound reactive visuals like that.

That's exactly what I did when testing the update. I just set up a long playlist and experimented with the brushes. Hyper-colour and Rainbow also look super trippy to the music. It will be fun in a few days ones some proper artists upload their stuff.

I hope they still include Tilt Brush, Job Simulator, and Fantastic Contraption for free. I enjoy all of them, but I'm not sure if I would pay full price for them. Especially Tilt Brush, as I'm not a natural painter.
It is still an amazing experience though, like using magic. I've seen other people make some really incredible stuff.

Not sure, but I hope so too. Job simulator has very good reviews, and tilt brush just sounds interesting. I'm an extremely shitty artist, but the idea of making things in 3d... that's very interesting.

Drawing in 3D feels to me to have the same skill level as 2D, be it pen and paper, brush and canvas, or a draw pad. I'm a shit artist too and 3D feels just as hard as 2D. Tilt Brush however still allows me to make something cool with with very few actions, even if the final result is very simple. I highly recommend any person who can draw or sculpt to try Tilt Brush. For anyone else it wont have a ton of value. It's just shiny and neat I guess. I got it for free and am very happy to have it.

Job Simulator is hilarious and very well done. But I see no replay value in it. Playing it again actually feels like a job. I hope that they will just keep adding more jobs so it stays interesting.

Fantastic Contraption seems to not get any attention. It's a great game though, if you like engineering and solving puzzles. I do, and solved all 50 levels and logged 18 hours in it. But when looking at the global steam achievements, very few people actually bothered with the game at all. Only 50% finished the tutorial. I guess that people just don't like engineering that much. And some of the levels are quite hard to solve. When playing it, it reminded me of Besiege, which is a very similar game, and also is more fun to be honest.

Well, I've finally at least bumped into the limitations of the 1080 last night. Could not get it to OC past 2.1Ghz stably, but at 2.05 or so, and even 2.1 it ran fine. Framerate in skyrim at 4k, with ~200 mods loaded on top of it, never dropped below 28, was usually around 50-60. Just having a huge screen helps with immersion. I can't wait to see what similar games will be like in vr type of environment.

Lol, I have crysis 2 enhanced edition from a bundle sale... will let you know. It made my old card cry.

Edit: Quite a few people have worked out ways to play games in VR, both on vive and oculus. Have you tried anything like that? The idea of VR skyrim, in first person view... :D

The only non VR game I've tried in VR is Minecraft, and it works really well. There are ways to play quite many games in VR, but it seems flaky at best and I don't feel like putting the time into it. I'm waiting for official support.
