-2 pounds potassium permanganate
-1 1/2 pounds magnesium powder
-1 pound charcoal

-1 pound calcium carbide
-1 pound iron oxide (black)

EDIT2: I can also provide you with pre-mixed, pre-granulated black powder if you would like, or some visco fuse if you need some. I have 50 feet of it.

I'd find pieces of the stuff months later, probably fell out of trees or off the roof or something, haha. 30g is VERY loud (and powerful!), I'm not sure I'd want to be anywhere near 90g!

Another thing I like to do for the holiday is modify the "skylab" rockets you can buy from Phantom Fireworks. I put some flash in and it makes a much better report, haha. But, they are kind of dangerous since the weight load I typically put in is more than the original and they tend to not fly as high. I had one that decided to make a 90 degree turn and go off just above the top of the tree right behind me

On a side note: potassium nitrate, sugar, and magnesium powder is a very dangerous mixture. I burned my hand with it today. I will have to be more careful next time. However, it is quite bright, and I will be experimenting with it (although more carefully).
