So when i was younger i used to be fat and an average - slow runner. Now i am one of the fastest in my team. It came to a bit of a shock to me because i stopped playing footy for about 3 years and now i have naturally slimmed down and pretty quick. I want to get faster have you guys got any tips on sprint training (i know you just sprint, durp durp). I want to up the intensity, have a faster acceleration and quicker sprints. I was thinking of getting a 4X4 tyre and dragging that behind me. Any ideas?

That might make you stronger, but I don't know if that'll increase your sprinting ability. I thought with sprinting your goal is to minimize the time that your legs are in the air so that you're pushing the ground as much as possible. Maybe take a video of your running so that you can work on your form.

Thanks for that, but if my legs get stronger i can push faster and harder. I will record myself and compare myself to an actual sprinter and study there form.
