How should start this off...

Well anyway greetings from Alabama fellow laser junkies:yh:

Basically I'll be using my first thread as a little introduction for myself.

My name is Eiji Mayuzumi , weird name for an Alabamian huh? I was originally born in Hyogo,Japan but my family and I moved to america when I was about 3. So I ended up growing up the United states of America. But let's fast forward in time , to which I had my first laser pointer. My first laser was one of those cheap $1 red lasers for Office Depot which I'm guessing was everyone's first laser. Boy did I have some fun with that laser:yh: But it wasn't enough. So I wondered was this all the laser world have to offer?:wtf: So I went online and looked up laser pointers and boy was I wrong. There were many more lasers that I had never seen before. There were blues and greens and violets..etc:drool: After that I was hooked on lasers. I was looking at videos of people reviewing their lasers and doing cool things with them like burning and Sky pointing. I wanted to join in on the fun too but what could I do with a 99 cent Red laser? Pretty much nothing. So went I online to find out how to buy these powerful laser like the ones on Youtube. I came to the conclusion that I would buy a 5mw green laser off of amazon. I went no higher than 5mw because I knew if I had went and bought 500mw laser I probably would have burned my eye balls or someone else's. I may have been a noob at the time but I was no fool. Safety first as they say.;) Anyway when I got the laser I was so excited. So when I turned it on I was amazed. One thing I always wondered about that laser is why it was so damn bright. Probably over spec is what I guessing. But enough of my Rambling. I joined LPF to gain more knowledge of my new found hobby so that I don't feel like a complete idiot when people talk about Drivers and diodes..etc. Well this is where I'll be ending. Hope it wasn't too long and too much rambling for you to read. But this is my First thread so I hope you can forgive me.:yh:

Anyway here's the link to the first green laser that I've bought Amazon.com : NEW SUNGOD MILITARY GRADE LASER WITH 5mw GALAXY EFFECT GREEN LASER 2IN1 TM : Laser Pointers : Electronics

Yeah I was searching around the internet and I read that anything above 5mw should be used with caution and it's best to have safety glasses when operating those.:yh:
