Me and my buddies have been killing halfdead lipo's for years. Now we found a better way. Just over charge it and..............

Oh man! Lol I tried putting an 18650 in a water bottle once and the water bottle along with the 18650 went boom :crackup:

I have a pretty severely puffed LiPo out in my shed, one of the cells is at 0V while the other is still at like 3V. Don't think I'm game enough to try puncturing it in my backyard though.

I'd say the one in that vid was still pretty well charged. A nail tends to make a pretty solid short circuit :p

Do they really? I need to try this.

I've messed with the energizer disposable lithium batteries, as those contain like 1g of lithium. Just add water and it makes a nice big red fire :D

LOL. omg, you guys' reactions were hilarious "I lost some hair on my legs" hahahha

I loved how.. for like 0.5s, nothing happened after the nail went in, then suddenly *WOOSH*. Too funny.

Yep it was over charged.

Slowly discharge it to 1 volt per cell and gently puncture each cell and then soak in salt water over night. All that is left is throw it away.

But it is way more fun ( but stupid) my way:crackup:

I have some some 6 cell Lipo's that scare me a little I have seen what they can do when they go off.
