I dont know how I forgot this? I worked for a couple years at a shop called "Queen Screw" I always wanted to take a pic of the sign and send it to the "National Lampoon" magazine in the section they had for weird signs. It was a family owned machine shop and never got around to asking them if they named it.......Pi thats funny but sad.. also do remember what the National Lampoon named that part of the mag, guarantee theres some funny stuff!

It's been so many years now but that part of the mag may have been "True Facts" National Lampoon still exists but not as a magazine since 1998, their web site is here: National Lampoon | The Humor Magazine EST 1970

That reminds me of a business I actually bought something from. I wanted a custom braided line for something on my truck. I was asking around where I worked on aircraft since someone there might know of a place to get one made. One person I talked to said House of Hose. (Think about it for a second) I had to ask him to repeat the name. You can't tell me that wasn't done on purpose.

I hope he didn't have to go back and take it as it is in Spokane Washington, that would be a long trip from South Carolina.

I believe that has a different meaning to us Brits ... :D

In case anyone is confused, I'm not Canadian ;)

I have heard of many women named "Fannie" but in American English it doesn't work with that last name.

So you moved all the way from the U.K. to NT Canada, is it a permanent move? And is it a better place to live?

I guess it's a little more vulgar in British English. :p

Yes - although I don't know if I'll be up here for good, we'll see! Much better living here - fair pay, more job opportunities, cool scenery and wildlife, interesting people - Yellowknife is rather transient and seems to attract missionaries, mercenaries and misfits, so there are a lot of strange people with strange interests, which is just awesome! :D
