Meteor in the Midwest!!!

I have been a "sky watcher" all my life, and I have seen at leat 5 meteors be brighter than the full moon, it is so obvious when the night scanery is suddenly lit near like day and all the grass and trees show thier true colors, (colors which are not seen by most moonlight). Not to mention looking up and needing to squint or finding the brightness semi- blinding like a photo flash! -Glenn

Yep, there's quite a difference between photopic and scotopic vision.
