Looking for Fog Machine recommendations

It's almost Halloween and I need a fog machine. Looking for a recommendation. Now I'm not looking for one of those wimpy $40 ones you buy at Walmart or PartyCity, but something with power. I want to do the front lawn ......... about 2000 sqft. I may sneak a low power laser or two into the fog, but not sure about that yet.

Looking at the Chauvet DJ Series 1301, 1800 Flex, Haze 2D or something similar. I also need a timer & a remote for it. If you have something big, let me (us) know what you like/dislike about it. I don't want to say price is no object, so try to keep the suggestions under $500. Which is about what one would pay for a good 589nm laser.

I plan to let the local fire department know of my plans so they don't get too excited.

tnx.

Sounds like you'll have a very cool front yard. I have the $30 Chauvet DJ model you don't want.
I'm excited for you.
I want to see what a $499 smoke machine does. It's got to be impressive and kick ass.
Kids must love you. :)

Dr. thanks for the idea.

Probably 2 would work better than 1 big one. I could put one at each end of the area to better fill it evenly. Two remotes might get confusing, but the cycle times could be programmed to alternate, so win win.

What does your friend use the 1300's for? And more importantly, does he like how they perform?

He loves them and has told me one of those would probably be the best using in my house. He uses them for laser shows. His user name over at PL is buffo. Same guy that does a lot of the work for SELEM.
