Heck yes that's cool! (I watched the whole 7:24 video, I was mesmerized)

Did you have any vibration problems FML?
Balancing that thing must of been a real PITA.

Could you not hook it up to one of your full colour WF drivers to see how it goes? Turn the current down etc...

Should be some cool effects from that?

It's a good idea but it won't work because I can't control the LEDs individually.

On another note, this has been circulating on a few DIY blogs and I keep seeing comments referring to the movie "Contact", so I made a rage pic about it:

FML if you got into engineering, you could make some serious $$. Your work is crude, but your ideas are great. If you put some polish on that, you could probably patent the idea, and present it as a solid prototype.

I agree with what you said 100%, and I've been toled the very same by many others numerous times before, but I just don't know what to do. Of course I have been trying to reach out but I just get let down. If only there was a community I could get in touch with, kind of like here on lpf... :undecided::can:

On top of it all I'm unemployed which is kind of a bummer.

Well here in the Us they make it very easy to get into college. They will even pay you to go in most cases. I dont know how it works in your country.

1. Look for a cheap college that offers an engineering degree. Maybe a community college.
2. Stop at the financial aid office and see if you qualify for any grants, or loans. If you do, then go down to enrollment and sign up. The school will help you with every step.

Its really that easy. Well here in the US anyway. I just had a half finished GED, and they gave me $800 a semester. The classes cost $450, and they let me keep the rest. Plus free book checks, and loans if you need it. The main qualifier was you needed to be full time, and maintain a C average.

Most countries want you to go to college. You just have to do the leg work. Good luck.

Hmm... It is a different system here but I get the idea. I'm 19 now and graduated last summer. I studied automation, and just about anything that goes with it (electrical, pneumatics, machining, you name it) wish fairly good grades, above average. I was promised a job by the school, but then the economy went... you know.

If I were to continue studying I will have to go the university. But math is my weakness, and even though I struggled very hard and managed to get a C (I think it is equivalent to a C), that is not enough to get accepted here. And to make matters worse there are no teachers anymore to provide me with the eduction to fill the gap.
The system is so screwed up right now that to get anywhere, the math has to be so overly complex (math that in fact really IS useless in real life) that no one can teach it, let alone learn it.

Atm I am 'job-hunting' and am trying some unconventional methods. 250-300 people apply for a single opening in the field I'm in...

Damn, you just got a 1000 hits in an hour. You should be selling tickets.

Or, because you have the time, be pumping these out for sale.
