Lasers on Liberty Day

Did anyone else use their lasers tonight? I used my Spartan as I was walking to Lolmart, and a passing motorist leaned out the window and yelled I AM YOUR FATHER! I loled. I also came into contact with 3 girls who were screwing around with their green laser. I don't know how strong their laser was, but my Spartan was brighter, so i'm guessing it was about 20mW? They said that they were going to go to Walmart and see what people say. I'm hoping they don't shine it at people.

I used mine after the firework smoke started laying in with some fog where I was. I had 100 and 150mW 532s out. The smoke fog mix made for very solid beams.

Wasn't intentional, but as I was walking out of the movie theater sunday, the fireworks display was going on/ending.

So I went to the top of the open roof parking garage, which offered a surprisingly good view.

Anyway, shot the lasers I had on me through the fireworks:eg:

Nothing too exciting though since I only had two, 400mW 445nm, and 200mW 532nm. Really wish I had a camera and a spare set of hands, would have made for some amazing beam shots.

Only kept the lasers on very briefly since I didn't want to attract official attention

I *was* going to show my approval of the various fireworks shows going off by shining a laser at the smoke clouds. Decided against it because of my elevation, but I think it would be neat to be shooting off fireworks and have someone miles away show their appreciation like that.

^^^Yup, I had a similar concern, I wasn't shining down or even close to horizontally, but I definitely wasn't shining completely up either. There was very heavy cloud cover though, and the closest airport at angles that would matter in that direction is 30+ miles away.
