Hy Folks ,

Today I'll talk about an idea that I came up with to not get to fiddle around with the host for the laser modules,I mean from the point of view of looks and aesthetics outside ! follow my screenshots :

This is a roll of pure aluminum adhesive , resistant to high and low temperatures (+250°/-50°), you can easily apply and maybe when we are tired of this color ,you can remove it ,without having to resort to power tools !!!!!

This is a simple half tube of raw aluminum (prior to application)

This , however, is the half-pipe aluminum (after the application)as you can see is already different from how it was before ! I for test I've applied quickly without making things perfect, but You calmly, you can upholster your laser host, making them to become new, or change color ! all without spending too much ! and for the more experienced , if you want you can also do engravings !

I'm all for idea's but what about host's that have knurling and custom grooves.
Iv'e worked with that solid AL tape and it also leaves some adhesive behind when you peel it off. For some it might be good and all up to what they want:)

Of course , I fully agree with You...! in fact, the middle aluminum tube was only for the test ! I know that is knurled and scratched , was used for other projects ! anyway, it is obvious that once you apply the adhesive (silver or black) it is assumed that the person who has applied and then not wash it off ! anyway, if you wanted to remove of all or part of it, it is feasible and easy , just give it a bit of sand paper and slowly grind, or if you have a small lathe DIY or original, so much the better hooks on one side and on the other the workpiece and lathe gently by skip via the applied film :yh:
