Recently I was sent 2 copies of LaserChat snippets from yesterday...
(no... I don't do LaserChat)
I thought I would share it with the Forum..
How would the members here classify this...:thinking:
Am I the only one that thinks that this sounds like a conspiracy...:thinking:

It is strange that the majority of the latest Negative Reps
I received came from those same LaserChat members.....:whistle:

There does not appear to be any conspiracy or threat here. Just LC gossip, mostly by members who dislike your recent actions.
I think the person who sent this to you should stop bringing drama to the forum. There is a reason this conversation happened on LC and the original review thread was closed - people (including me) like to gossip about forum related issues, but do not want the gossiping to take place on LPF itself.
IMO, this is like recording some kids talking smack about a guy from their class during lunch break, then playing it in the middle of physics class.
You ask "Is this what the LPF Forum is about...." (btw "laser pointer forum forum" :na: Sorry, couldn't resist)
The answer from me is a clear no.

I agree with Sebs point here. People should have an outlet in which to talk about things that happen in the laser world without it being publically posted here or on other forums.. we have PMs too. I've been involved in some of the LC conversations lately and while some people have voiced a lot of emotions over this, I would not say there is any conspiracy or threat to you afoot Jerry. Perhaps a good amount of resolve to overcome this negative publicity, but I wouldn't have any respect for any of these guys if they didn't display that resolve. It's the only proper course of action under these kinds of circumstances.

To be clear, I'm not taking sides here. Jerry, you've helped me out lots of times. I have a Laserbee I and I love it, it works awesome and it's engineered well. I also watched the Kenometer be designed and I know that it's design seems solid, and it has a very good feature set if properly built and applied. I also have seen the production version being built and the build quality (from what I've seen... NOT firsthand experience to be clear) is quite good. Ken just screwed up by freaking out and sending his prototype (which was a rat's nest as prototypes often are) out for a review. That's been his only real error here from my perspective.

Seems to me like a lot of people are disappointed with the way you conducted yourselves in the review thread. It isn't a threat to you in any way - buy lots of people are irritated that you felt to question Ken's honesty, and keep going when he had explained it

I see a lot of people upset with your taking the opportunity of a mistake to march me to the chopping block and execute me! Nothing more.

If you want copies of all the other negative crap that's been said about your actions I'll happily provide those for you to post more stupid drama on this forum.
