Wink How French is there on the forum?

Hello everyone !

I'm new here, french, and i'm feel alone...
I wonder if there are other French here, and how they are to share this passion and perhaps discuss in French...

I would imagine that if I went on a French site I would
be alone speaking English...
I suppose it would be up to me to find an English Forum
or "do as the Romans do" and learn to communicate in
French..

Yes I agree with you, it's English forum it's normal speak english.
I do not find French equivalent forum. LPF is very good, I would say only if there are some French people here, for exchange information with them and to see also if I am not alone here...

tl;dr Honestly, I prefer writing in English.

I understand more or less English, and actually I use google to translate but the translation is rough at times as what you wrote Kmor2004.
At no time did I criticize the fact that this forum is in English, especially since it is a real bible for fans, my goal is simply to communicate with any other French to exchange information on what can be found in France on lasers ....
In the short time I'm here, I noticed that it's a passion especially in the U.S. and Canada. Looking at the map of the members I have only seen one in France and did very little outside. It is therefore an Anglo-Saxon passion? Same for the stores, here in the electronics stores are not found components for making a laser, laser diode only low power and very little info or I have not found ...
