I am currently on the lookout for a cheap but decent gaming laptop, and have looked at Alienware M15x with a few options and have it priced at 1568.00CAD$, with "Intel® Core™ i5-540M 2.53GHz (3.06Ghz Turbo Mode, 3M cache)" also a "512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 240M" graphics card, plus "4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz".

Does anyone know where I can get a better deal? The laptop would have to have similar or better specs and the same or cheaper price. Does anyone know of a place I can get such a laptop?

Re: Looking For a Cheap Gaming Laptop

I would have this moved to the "Geeks' Corner"; there seems to be a lot of computer questions there.

I thought of that, but this section gets a lot more traffic than there.

That's a good find, thanks.

But I'm kinda leaning towards the M15x now, It's ~100$ more but it looks way cooler and has cooler gadgets, like facial recognitions instead of passwords and fully customizable lighting effects all over it. If anyone can find one at least 300$ cheaper(probably not) then I might consider it, but that Alienware is so cool looking.

After I read this it convinced me that I would need a fairly big difference in price to consider otherwise.

UPDATE:

In case anyone is wondering, I went for a 2000$ version of the M15x because my parents decided to pitch in 500$. And the "In Production" just changes to "Delivery Preparation", so I'm very excited! Should be getting it in the next week.
