President Obama has been president only two days now and already staff members and low level political animals cannot keep their mouths shut. I was reading an article on the closing of Gitmo in Cuba and a quotation was included about interrogation techniques with the statement attributed to: "The official spoke on condition of anonymity to speak candidly about the administration's thinking." I see a problem with such attributions. For one thing why does the person need to speak on the condition of anonymity? They are either disclosing classified information or playing their superiors as the fool because they disagree with the policy and as such have no business being in their position. Secondly, if you cannot attribute the statement to anyone, how can you use it as news since it cannot be corroborated? This tells me the media clearly has no regard for the truth as they have taken it upon themselves to decide what anonymous statements can be disseminated without supporting corroboration. This puts the national media clearly in the reporting corner of the National Enquirer.

It's also the fault of the general public who takes such statements, hook, line, and sinker, as some kind of inside scoop when in reality it's petty dissatisfaction with the officials own place in the pecking order.

Politics.

The economy. :-/

Who knows how they really work? :-?

Deception vs truth. [smiley=engel017.gif] [smiley=evil.gif]

Media = distraction, by suggesting the importance of something irrelevant to deliver needed satisfaction to the people who are blessed with ignorance, yet remain in the dark.

There are dark evil forces at play, how can a single man justify the disgusting behavioral habits of “some” who control all? All the while keeping order and a successful government.

A lot of media sources tick me off. They don't even try to be unbiased.

Simple example: take a look at the side-by-side's of Clinton and Obama during the primaries in the Boston Globe. Hillary looks like a complete idiot every single time. It's absurd.

Ah, the media.

I remember reading the paper and thinking stuff like 'is that really how it is?' and 'are you sure?'. But when I was in the newspaper for just a little local story, I remember reading it and going 'well, that's what happened, but that's a new spin on it'.

And I never believed the media again :)

The End.

I hate Obama =)

I've got a 5-6 foot full size John McCain cardboard cut out in my room ;)
I call him...John. Even the others in the fam (democ's) have started calling him John.
He's one of the family.

I wonder how long he'll last before he gets taken out?
Probably won't be by a laser though ... =(
