Apparently they located in Toronto, ive been charged 0.30$. My cellphone is a LG Shine, it has functions to block send/receave text message.. I never sent those, especially in toronto. WTF i dont know anyone from there...

I called their tech support (Telus Mobility) twice today, and after 15min they hang up on me..
I have no choice to pay as he said they were made from my Phone serial... wich i seriously doubt, at that time especially on friday im at home watching tv.. I never used the text message functions as im aware of the outrageous fee. So the first guy told me he block internet and text message to prevent further use.

Is there anything i can do? Should i call back and claim a fraud? I did not authorize the sent of those message!
Did it happens to you?

I find it sad, i have to pay something that i didint use.

30 cents?

An sms here was 18 cents on 2005. That year calls were $1,20/minute

So imagine how much prices have gone up :p

Well in Toronto, it used to cost 10 cents per text, that was until companies like Telus realized that people were texting to save the 35 cent per minute. So of course they raised the price, for me to text is now 25 cents.. We need more providers here to drive the costs down ;)

Only if you think your time is worth absolutely nothing. It's 30 cents!

Look at it this way: How much time will you spend on the phone arguing with them? I'll say 20 minutes, which will put your possibly gain at still less than 1 dollar an hour. Is your time really only worth $1 an hour? Surely your time is worth more than that.

Yeah, sure, it sucks that you got this charge that you don't think you deserve. But it's completely not worth your time worry about it.

I would be concerned for security reasons. I'd call them and talk to them about it again. You don't want someone stealing your phone number and making outrageous long distance calls.

I asked if it was a possible glitch of the system. He said no, our system is working fine.

This is like trying to call PayPal to refund you 0,25 dollars, they'll never pay attention to little stuff like this (which I'm VERY sorry to inform, but it's the truth... or what's more likely to happen knowing services all throughout Argentina :p).

the difference between you and them is they are on the clock. you can bug them for a while untill you feel you used up some of their labor if that makes you feel better

This used to work for me some years ago, but after I realized I was only talking to a guy in a call center who had absolutely nothing to do with crappy company policies.

bummer. forgot about that.

i was having problems with my att phone (actually a friends) and brought it into a store cause i was fed up with talking to the people in the call centers, so this guy in the store called up one and he was flirting with the chic on the other line, turns out she was from florida
kudos to att for doing that
