I've noticed, sometimes the forum is hoppin', and sometines everyone's doing something else. It's all good though. There's only so much one can say.
I just spent a good chunk of the evening unwinding from a hectic week at work along with a friend of mine, we ended up on Youtube watching vids of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody being covered (or maligned) by various and sundry artists, some of them were really good, some hilarious, some pretty bad. How the hell we ended up there I don't know; maybe it was the Pinot Noir.
I showed him something I found linked in another forum - which I was going to get around to telling people here about, I guess now is as good a time as any - it's a first-person shooter game called kkrieger, by some (scary smart, imo) german guys. It's a free beta version download, one level; the graphics and gameplay reminds me a lot of Quake-type games. The shocker is that the entire game is 96K on disk. That's not a typo. Here it is again: 96K. Abso-freaking-lutely unbelievable - it even has music! There's a few bugs, and the sounds aren't super, but what do you expect for free 0.1MB? Hahaha! Here's the link:
