Looks like it would make a fine slide lock for a bathroom stall to me, regardles of what its actual function is :D

I have no clue about tysonc's other than that it looks like some sliding lock.

it's 2.5 inches long and it's a final amlifier tube from a high power radio
transmitter made from silver plated copper and berilium :D
or is it a high power tuning capacitor ?

Is it one end of an Argon laser tube? Edit: Oh, ok it's an amplifier tube, I thought it was still being guessed at.
