Yeah I used to have a HTC Wizard that I'd flash new ROMs on, back in the day my phone could do most everything the iPhone could do but 2 years before it...

now I have a MyTouch 3G and am happy enough with the the default android OS to keep it. the new google maps with navigation is pretty sweet, makes me kind of wish I didn't already have a GPS

Yeah I know what you mean. I used to flash roms on the Hermes, I was blown away by what you could do with custom ROMs.

You should really check out some of the cooked ROMs for your MyTouch, I have a G1 and thought I was happy with the default OS too. Then I tried out some of the custom one's and now I'll never go back. Hahaha.

I flash a new rom to my Touch Pro like every two weeks, you can get addicted to it.
Makes your phone so much better tho!

Yeah it really does make a huge difference, and its very addicting.

That's probably the only thing I miss about my iPhone, the ability to flash new ROMs.

I put up a prog rock thread a while ago and everyone made fun of me. Now that all the music threads are gone, the prog fans come on? (Seriously...I've seen so many references to Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson, etc. since then...)

Well anyway, I LOVE Pink Floyd and most other prog rock bands.

They were all I listened to for a number of years, now I am getting back into my old vibe of Credence Clearwater Revival, Jefferson Airplane, Greatful Dead, Bob Dylan etc. Pink Floyd still hold a special place though, I mean how can anyone into lasers not like them? :shhh:

in fact, often times I will stumble upon a "new website" I've never been to before. Rather than registering a new account, I just login as "mikeeey" and enter my password, and 9/10 of the time it logs me in lol. I often register somewhere and forget about it.
