That model delorean is pretty darn cool. IF it werent for the props (its basically a quadcopter with a delorean shell) they could even make the wheels rotate to normal "car" style for landing.

I reckon the best RC to have would be your own predator drone. Controlled by a laptop. Its autopilot would keep the drone circling above the transmitter until manual flight is wanted. Put a you beaut camera on it, take the controller to the outside section of the pub with some uninformed mates, open up the lappy, Pray your toy hasnt been ingested by a 747, and say "smile for the camera" to your mates. Cover the webcam.

"Wheres the bloody camera then smarty?"

*points up* "about 2 miles that way. Its also got rockets. See that van over there...." ;)

of course a toy like that would be breaking every civi aviation law in australia, and would probably piss the military and cops off a bit if it was armed :)

Possibly the hardest bit to obtain would be the whiz bang camera. Everything else to make it autonomous (even the rockets) can be picked up at hobby shops. Obviously the rockets would only be there for show, and when launched wouldn't do anything, but it would look cool :)

I've done the 'take it apart to restore then run out of money in the middle' part.

Thats the story of my life. I have at least 6 projects tabled. And silly me just bought a box of 5 Black Forrest Cuckoo clocks in need of repair.

LOL you and me both T_J! :)

ATM I cant even afford some 8Gua wire and some joiners so I can put my power supply back on the floor, after extending the leads to my new radio :p

(you'd think with a $600 radio they'd supply more than 80cm of wire :p)
