Wow I have made a total ignorant fool of myself. I am truly ashamed. I sent this message to two people (similar content) and I have now sent a message of regret and apologies to both. In my "quest" to earn myself a 'status' or 'reputation' here, I have done the exact opposite. I would like to give an honest apology to the people I contacted with my poor intentions as well as to the entire LPF community for disrespecting its rep system. I apologize. This mistake on my part will not be seen or heard of again. Thank you all and have a great day.

Peace
-cmak

p.s. I'd like to assure that I am not a "scammer in the works", and it'll be a long time (if ever) until I get to the point of selling any lasers. Once again, my apologies for wasting your time with this nonsense

Nice to know you can make a honest apology, I got your PM :)

Everyone deserves a second chance don't they? I suggest we forget everything and make a new start :)

Now, it is a good thing that he owned up to his mistake, but people are giving him rep for it? WTF?
This basically means that a great way of getting loads of rep is to act like an idiot and then apologise for it. It makes no sense. Perhaps if his reputation had been torn to shreds he could be given some rep to make up for it, but right now he just got exactly what he was begging for - a lot of rep for nothing.

I also received your PM, and thank you for posting here. Like I said your actions were quite suspicious and also at the same time, with out knowledge disrespectful. But this was out of ignorance and I understand that. Lets put this behind us and start a new.

All the best -Adrian

Its a shame that more people here cant write cryptic replies like Dave, if they did we would all spend more time de-cyphering them than hitting the rep button:beer:

Fair enough he apologized, which is good. But he definitely does not deserve rep for it, especially after what the bad rep was for.

Hmmm....

He made a Noob mistake and got Neg Repped for it... that's the way
it works here...

He had two ways to respond... negatively or positively... he chose
the latter...

He gave an honest regretful public and private apology to all involved... IMO...
and that is worth something as far as I'm concerned...

Who I give + or - Neg Rep to is up to me alone.... (I would have preferred
to only bring him up to only 0 Rep Points but that was not an option).

I don't hand out rep lightly.... whether positive or negative...

was in a bad mood last night, parents have been away for the weekend so I've had to do washing, cooking etc... And had a pretty shoddy few days lol.

I can understand where Jerry is coming from, he got neg rep'd, he fixed his mistake with a sincere apology, so it's only fair his rep is too :)
