I was thinking the exact same thing... and the guy is complaining that the lathe he used put "a lot of constraints" on his design! Well... people here are drooling over that no-good-for-nothing lathe... ;) But I definitely agree that he did some very impressive work and the plan was solid all the way through. Well thought out and very great piece.

Glad you liked it;

is it usb powered?, if it is, it wouldn't work very well. peltiers are very inneficient, and you probably would only get a 3 degree temperature drop, and if it's to hot in your room, you wont get any cooling from the thing. the lowest powered peltiers i see are rated at 12 volts 4 amps, and as far as i know, usb is only capable of 5 volts at about 200ma. i did try this once, and yes it did get cold, but it wouldn't heat or cool anything apart from itself. ive finished babbling now ;) actually i saw someone make one of these, but it was powered from 30 usb ports, but i don't think anyone here has that many ;D ;D
