My wife told me that someone tried to hack her Guild Wars 2 and her Google account which was traced from China. I used her paypal account to buy from lazerer.com since i didnt have one. She seems worried and i felt bad cause she never had any issues like this before. Could this be an isolated incident or is there a connection?

Sounds like an isolated incident to me. Just to be sure though. Run a virus scan and make sure your computer is clean.

Plenty of people have ordered from lazerer without a problem. Make sure your firewall and virus protection are no to date as well. Glad to hear it was a failed attempt.

I hope so. I already told her i wanted to get another laser. Most likely that i might buy the next one from a member here and i prolly have to convince and/or beg to use her paypal account again. :D

How does she even know that? "Tried" means unsuccessful, yes? Who traced it back to China?

I've had this happen too with my Gmail account. Someone in china tried to get in but Google prevented it from happening.

Cyp, Google automatically traces the country of origin when someone attempts to get into your account. I also think it prevents it from happening if it's in a different country altogether. :p

If a member emails you a Paypal invoice, you can pay with a CC and do not need an account.

Yeah when I went to Prague Google/ Gmail ran me through hoops to get access to my account, because I was signing in from a different country...took me about 20 minuets to access my account.
