Alright, I've decided to build a counter-top Galaga machine, mainly because I love Galaga and have access to everything needed to make a proper little cabinet. The software part is where I hit a big snag. I know I can use MAME and can set it up to use a Front Loader to bypass Windows screens and all that, which is nice. I'm looking for something a tad more direct than that, I'm trying to figure out if there's a way (short of buying an entire Galaga machine or board and just putting it in my custom cabinet, I have found a wiring harness and Galaga board for ~$100 and shipping, so I can do that if I have to, but I really don't want to) to get my machine to boot directly to the Galaga ROM so I can have instant Galaga actions. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated :thanks:

Edit: Or if you know of ANY arcade emulator that will boot directly to the game, that'd be awesome too

Yes mate i belive you can do it with switches , have a nose >>>HERE<<< .

Your probably better off asking in one of the many mame forums , the one i use is >>HERE<< , and use the shoutbox to save you registering.
Failing that, register on the site and one of the boffins will help you.

Or get yourself a supergun like mine :)

I'd love to, but I think that may just be a tiny bit out of my budget and alas not enough room for that to be enjoyed properly (if it's what I think it is).
