Not sure that it would be appropriate to list the stuff my local police dept has stole from me! I was a rebel in my younger days lol.

Much time ago got a 300v capacitor confiscated from me after a cop seen me 'shock' my friend. Luckly he said that he was looking for a 300v capacitor and walked away lol.

They have gotten a LOT of my money but I'm careful not to let them see the good stuff.
Last summer (09) I got a $2000 speeding ticket. (kind of the judge to use a nice round number)
A friend and I were blocked into oncoming traffic when we were passing a young kid in "daddies" pickup. He decided he wanted to race us and slowed down to 80km/h in a 100 zone. We (of course) started to pass and he hit the throttle when I drew even with him. I backed off and he hit the brakes to keep us beside him.
Oncoming traffic was getting a little too close for comfort so I opened the tap and my friend followed suit. Both of us were on literbikes so there was no contest between us and the "hemi".
Problem is, the last intersection we had passed, a cop pulled out behind us.
First ride of the season, didn't have my mirrors perfectly adjusted to see in both tuck and upright riding positions.
When I started to explain what happened, he just walked back to his car. I got a pic of my friend looking disgusted with the cop behind him but officer asshole declined a photoshoot with me.
The "lawyer" was late and the judge threw the book at us.
I'm still going to find the little bugger that could have killed us, I hold a grudge forever.

Not the police but the MNR (ministry of natural resources) claimed was fishing in a sanctuary. The location where I was fishing is where the river enters into the lake. The river is a sanctuary and so is 100 ft into the lake. I was 300 ft from the river, I had my GPS with me. The MNR officer claimed I was in the sanctuary, I showed him my GPS and he still decided to fine me. He then proceeded to confiscate my rod and reel and tackle box which in total is worth 1300 (I spend to much on fishing). It ended up in court and I won. :) And I got my sh*t back.

They tried to keep my K-100 Beamer-- saying I used it in the commission. Lawyer made them give it back-- then they tried to charge me for towing and storage-but we had witnesses that they drove it off(liars!)- they scratched my mirrors bad and disconnected my battery and somehow ran it down--(shorted the cables) The Tow yard owner and the local Chief were have a heated convo as I jump started and left--ha ha --last laugh is the best. Charges were later dropped but they kept my rent and bill money-(900$)-saying thier dog 'said' it was tainted!!! yeah right!! lawyer said 'dont push it'

who are the real criminals in this case?? I counted 5 felonies committed by them trying to 'build' a case of one on me.

still pissed off after ten years

I am of a mind that "Police are not your friends"
I am a reasonably sane human, no criminal record, I pay my taxes and never hurt anyone unless they bring the fight to me.
Any interaction I have ever had with police I regret.
I haven't run from the cops yet but I am beginning to think it may be worth it.
From my experience, RCMP are not too bad. Not too good, but not TOO bad. The sheriffs though, they all need to fornicate themselves with a cactus.
If someone hurts me or mine, it's shoot shovel and shut up.

*edit
It's late, I'm in pain. Just ignore me.

wth is that guardian angel? a stun gun or something?
that gun looks nice, probaly in cop's holster now :p
to bad the cops do that kind of shit:(

never got ANY trouble with a cop ever in my life. Not even a small fine for cycling without a light.
But im always careful with my lasers. I run around town, never stay at desame place and only power a laser into the sky for 10secs max. This is because im afraid there is some law against lasers.
i called a cop office once and they said i couldnt buy lasers because they where illigal. but when i asked to send me a copy of the law, where it states that...they send me a mail after an hour, that they couldnt find it. LOL.

"To Serve and Protect"

I gotta say whenever I see a Police Office, I never feel like I am being served nor do I ever feel like they are there to protect me.

I do however feel like they are there to harrass me regularly, and when seconds count I know they are at least minutes away. I just really have a hard time justifying the Police force as I really do not see anything positive coming from them these days. They are involved and or responsible for much of the corruption these days, why do we continue to empower them to do so. I can honestly say I have NEVER felt good or relieved in any way by seeing a police officer, not once. However, I can say that I have felt that way about both Fire and Ambulance personel.

The only interactions I've had with cops were fireworks-related, no confiscations.

They got one of my 100mW green lasers.

The cops in my old town were pretty cool with lasers, which was nice. From what I hear, there were a few that actually owned some decent greenies. No problem with that. :p We had this musical festival once and a few hippies had some greenies, the cops never gave them any trouble.
