Last saturday me myself and I used a < 1000mw blue laser with pinpoint accuracy on glow festival in eindhoven,... The photographers where stunned and amazed by the blue particles emmiting above there heads,... I also gave a demo to a guy that was working for a company that projected some stuff on the buildings in the center(where the big mc donald and the KFC is located). I also remember that these projection people also told me they where from switserland but from hungarian roots, they also asked to put my phone nr in there company agenda because they never seen a blue laser of such power in such portability form. After that my joy was again disrupted by a blonde homo sapien police guy,... They then transported me to the HQ police station in the mathildelaan and locked me in a cel for more then 12:00 hours,.... What a really did not like is that after a few hours i tried to talk to the agent true the intercom with the question how long do i still have to wait here,.. after the second call i asked this guy his name and he did not want to say his name, so i decided to give it another try and i called again by saying my full name could you be so kind to give me your name i want to know who i'm speaking with, this agent then disconnected the intercom,... I still don't understand why he disconnected the intercom, i was just being a gentleman.:tired:

This blonde homo sapien cop tried everything to take my laser, i tried to explain this homo sapien cop that i was giving a demo to this guy from this company as i mentioned before then he tried to find another reason to take me away,...:gh: I used my laser that night in a responsable way and i used it because it was a festival about lights called glow,... Now i read that this festival was also coordinated by a guy called harry hollands and compagnie,... Perhaps this is why i got in trouble that night,... I remember this harry from abuja, nigeria, this guy is a real control freak,... That is why i call him dirty harry,...:pop:
Untill today i never head a reply back from the municipality of eindhoven and the werkplein mercado for all the damage and loss that has been done to my name,...

They seem to be able to come up with any reason for hauling you in.
I'm planning of filing as many formal complaints as possible for the rest of my life.
I take down squad car numbers if cops are speeding or doing illegal things on the road etc.
They have screwed my life up a few times, I'm just returning the favor. I figure if they get enough complaints, their life might get a bit more complicated.

Some dutch homo sapien cop on his motor bike also tried to take my electric skateboard from me some years ago, but i told him if you take my electric skateboard from me i take your motorbike,... :D Then he drove angry away and aprox. within a week i got a >300,- euro ticket fine in the post,... I immediately wrote a complain to the local police and I was happy that i got a letter back from them giving me a explanation that it was a mistake,... So i'm happy to see that there are also good people working for the police instead of you know what,... In >2007(queen's day) i also encounterd a situation where a guy driving in a empty bus from the ME stopped @ the crossing of the kleine berg and tried to take me into the bus and saying true his intercom : Jongen met pistool ! In English : Boy with a gun ! I tried to explain him that this is not a gun but the wireless remote control of my electric skateboard that was next to me,... This guy head no uniform on but just a fitness shirt with a tijger on it,... He looked like a body builder, i also rember that he was smal of height. Lucky for me there where 2 police officers on horse patrol that where heading slowly from the witte dame to the kleine berg and when they came close, this smal bodybuilder drove off.

Mm they have not given me a reason yet to hate them, but those storys doesnt sound good.
I still dont have guarantees about the laser law here in holland.
If i use them responsible, why couldnt i shine it anywhere i want? (ofcource not to someone) even next to the cops HQ?
If a cop will hold me and wants to confisicate my laser or take me with him, im going to ask to state that law since i dont know it, and no one seems to know it.

IMHO the problem is not "the police" ..... the problem is that some of the peoples that wear the uniform, consider themselves "gods", and are convinced that they can do everything they want just cause they wear the uniform ..... and this problem is made also worse from some of their chiefs and superior officers, that, instead punish them as they deserve, the majority of the times hides all their mistakes and bad conducts, cause "this can give a bad reputation to the police corp, if made public domain" (usual idiotic governative way to think) ..... showing, imho, that they need to be "promoted" from police officers to forced street cleaning service ASAP :p

If the principle is that police MUST be an example for citizens, then also the penalties for ALL the bad policemans MUST be the higher possible, with NO exceptions, when they delinquish, for the same principle, otherwise the above principle is a total fake.

What do you think is better to see, for the citizens, for give them some faith in the police corps ? ..... to see a policeman that act bad and become punished with the maximum penalty possible, or to see the same policeman that act bad and is covered from the superiors and the system ?

Really, what do you think that give worse image to police corp ? ..... an agent that attack and beat a neutral observer of a riot, or his superiors that try to cover the fact charging the victim for "resistance to a policeman", when the video become public ? (all this with a video that proof that the guilty is the policeman, ofcourse) ..... or some agents that have killed a guy in jail beating it to death, or their superiors that, when the fact become public domain, hides the facts, lies to the indagation commission, false the autopsy results, and become recorded from a hidden microphone saying to these agent that "when you beat someone, you don't have to do it up here, where the other prisoners can see it, you must go in the rooms downstairs as usual ....." (just for give a pair of really happened examples) .....

Do you think that, after a similar conduct, citizens can still have some faith, or also just a minimum of respect, for police corps ? ..... citizens in mass are not independent reasoning human beings, they form a virtual entity that can be considered a "global animal" (not as offense, in social sense) ..... and in this condition, when they see a policeman beating a victim, the think is not "THAT policeman is acting bad" , is "THE POLICE (globally) is acting bad" ..... i'm surprised that was not already started to find policemans killed in the backstreets ..... but i fear we're not so much distants, if things go this way a bit more long .....

Well said....
You bring up valid points though.
I have a friend that has been accused of rape and the poor guy wasn't even in the same area of the province when it was supposed to have happened.
When they came to arrest him, the cuffed him and he is walking out t the cop car holding hands (kinda) with his girlfriend. A chick cop comes up behind him and pushes hi off the deck.
(remember he is cuffed at this point) Of course he can't break his fall with his hands and it knocks the wind out of him. The cops have now accused him of resisting arrest because he couldn't get up for a couple of minutes and they had to drag his winded ass over to the car.
~8 months before this the neighbor called in a noise complaint on him because he was running his dirtbike ON HIS OWN PROPERTY.
He had been drinking and the cops tried to drag him off the property to arrest him for public intoxication (I think that's what he had said they tried to arrest him for)
He is a bit of an asshole when he gets drunk and fought back.
He held off 4 cops for about 15 minutes and then they broke his jaw.
Dropped him off in a cell and left him for 2 days with no medical attention.
He wasn't right for fighting them but they were by far "more wrong" for even giving him any trouble at all.
If they had said "could you please not make so much noise?" I'm sure he would have gone back inside or something.
Cops are just bullies equipped with authority.

When I lived in Portland OR I witnessed a guy that was in a fight, he was not the one that started it, he was just defending himself. The cops came up and one of the offficers told him to freeze, he stopped and was talking to the officer and another cop was running up from behind, he hit this guy from behind and slamed him into the pavement scraping his face up and giving him a bloody nose. The cop then slammed him around and cuffed him.
I was pissed I told the cop that it was unecessary to tackle him from behind when he was already talking to the other officer. I was told to mind my own business, I gave his girlfriend one of my business cards and told her to have him call me if he decided to file charges against the police.
He did cantact me along with his attorney I gave them a statement along with a few other people, it never went to court they settled with him out of court for 350k and the cop was terminated since that was not his first offense.

I think some of them are just on an ego trip and think they have to show how tough they are. I also have friends that are police officers and they are not like that at all they are very nice and fun to party with.

I think they are capsaicin spray "guns"
Personal defense in a non-lethal form.
I prefer brass knuckles, they make it hard to lose a fight. ^_^

They are two-shots pepperguns ..... they throw a bit more far than spray cans, but not too much efficents if you only have one of them, IMHO, cause they only have 2 shots ..... i prefer spray cans (plural ..... after all, you have two hands, right ? :p)

BTW, brass knukcles are efficent, too, but only at short distance ..... and only if the opponent don't have something better ;)
