Gray sent me sample of the Diff. grates and they are large and quite nice- made from glass not plastic too. -- T. Y. Gray for the freebie extra!!
I will be away from home Dec 1 to Dec 14 and have very limited access to the forum-- So we can finish GB#2 before this and get the shippment or plan to close the GB as I am returning- that way we will have our lasers in time for Christmas-
- feedback on this please.
I prefer to close it Dec 10th or so and Pay JETLASERS on Dec 12th-( I will arrange for my bank to transfer the $$ with a call from me. so snags notwithstanding we SHOULD get them here in TX around Dec 20 and out for delivery a few days after that. Just in time to put your name on the package and pretend to be surprized!!

I was very torn for a couple of days between waiting /spending more $$ for this, or getting a 200mw used Rayfoss quickly for $120. I decided to wait on this, from what I've read, I think I'll be better off in the end.

never saw the R/F but these JETLs are extremely well built- Gray has been very supportive and if there should be any problems after delivery i think he will do right by us. my review of the PGL PL-C 250mW will be up soon-- meters around 330mWs btw--

AFAIK- THE 250Mw PL-C PGL will still be only 325$ plus around $30 for shipping from here in Tx to you.
All 250s from GB#1 put out way over 300mWs- retail is 500$ plus shipping- Gray adds some free extras- this time IIRC nice glass diffraction gratings and MAYBE He will provided free eyeware again. I do know that the limit will be 20 units and the list is filling quickly.
the 200mW Green PL-C is 265$- Gray pays the shipping(last time $160 for 7 lasers) and we collectively chipped in $50 on that. Although I am not making any profit on these GBs i have been informed the as "pp" reports all large transactions to the IR5-I may need to be aware that it could be considered as 'income' so knowing that I may request other forms of payment- those who know me and have done GB#1 prolly willl be OK with that-those who insist on "pp" are,of course only being careful and feel that the buyer protection is a necessity-- however after saying all that-- shippments from overseas are ALWAYS done knowing there is a posssible risk of problems with duty/customs/theft etc-
tracking will show where the shippment is but this risk is taken by all who participate including myself, but , not entirely by me. Now with the recent events of explo5ive devices found in packages we can all expect our incomig packages to take a lot longer to clear.
Can you imagine an entire shipload of packages needing close inspection?? Mind boggling!! this has already been reported.
Risk is a part of being alive-- you could stay home under the covers and a huge chunk of frozen blue toilet water crash thru your roof from a Jetliner and squash your butt in bed!!!-
Gray will ship the safest way possible and so will I- 500$ insurance and signed delivery will be used.

I'm kind of on a metering binge here today, and, I metered my PL-C 250 that I got from JetLasers GB#1 earlier this week:
Average: 355mW.
Peak: 440mW.
A big, emphatic +1 to Gray and Hak (though I don't think I can +1 hak again
) for this one.

JETL/Gray may have a nice laser within your budget-- PM him and tell him how much you can spend and your choice of nm and I bet he will come up with some do-able options. I had one of his 150mW PL-Cs and it was really nice and metered at 220mWs too.
go to the site and do some monitor shopping. Ask him if he has any close-outs or maybe a nice one with a minor problem like a scatch etc. He is a very understanding Co rep. Worth asking IMO!!

N/P you have right up to a day or so before the close of the GB to change your mind-if however you want alterations i.e. circular key removeable in the 'on' position etc-you would need to make you choice sooner rather than later. Any in-stock item that Gray has on the GB#2 list can be ordered -just get the quote from JETL and then relay it to me. Still waiting for feedback about how you all are feeling about the close date. I have non-refundable flight tickets to visit the old man over in Fl dec 1 to dec 14 I can wire the $$ from my bank Via teleoone and TRY to have them delivered to ME close to the 14th-for re-shipping- but be aware hightened security is now in place due to the explo5ives found in packages bound for the US and shipping times are ATM no longer 'normal' neither Gray nor I have any control over this so we will do our best to make the "WAIT" as short as possible.
