The sale is now over but I have found a seller on ebay selling them for $6.80 shipped.

This one is only 300lm but if we are using it for lasers then who cares. If you look here these lights have a decent size head which is enough room for a decent size heatsink.

Here is a picture of mike's knurled knob on a C11 I got from him.



Here is an example of what a smooth flow is. The ones for the C8 will be larger to fit in the ID of the bezel. I also used GITD epoxy on the inside, this doesn't come with it.



This is a good deal IMHO, mike and his dad do some beautiful work and are always get it done in a decent amount of time. I am sending 3 of my lights to his dad tomorrow to measure for a variance.

You can also add 1" knurled focus knobs for $6ea. Maybe Anodized Smooth Flow Focus Knobs for $25ea (Probably ~1.5" in diameter) have to figure out the dimensions.

Please note that the smooth flow knobs will be built for these hosts, not the ones used on the C6's.

A knurled focus knob might be good (you should post a picture of those).

Is the heatsink going to be direct-press or 12mm bore? and if the latter, will there be a set-screw or not?

The heatsink will come with a 12mm bore and will also have a set screw

I have no idea how mike handles international shipping we gotta wait for him to answer that.

International shipping is not a problem. The heatsinks will be a 12mm reamed bore with a 6-32x1/8" socket set screw. A matching 1/16" allen wrench will be included with EVERY heatsink.

BTW that red on the C11 is sexy! is it as flat/matte in person as it looks in the photo? if so where can i get one of them as a flashlight?

I got that host for Dealextreme. I'd say it is a fairly flat/matte finish.

yeah it's definitely a flat/matte finish and pictures don't do it justice. It's hard to get an image of what it looks like in person.



but the C8 is just a mini version of this! The C11 has been my go to host from mike because if its clean looks and large heatsink (low price also helps!), that is why I am excited about the C8 it will make an awesome smaller laser with a pretty decent runtime compared to the C6 due to the head size.
