You made the statement, just pointing out the obvious..

I have no problem with it, people who are unoriginal have to live with it

Damn, I see your logic.

I'm okay with it though :D My unoriginality is helpful to other people.
Let's not digress, we've got wire to acquire.

200 ft.
Red
White
black
whatever the fourth color will be(i like blue, it seems like it should be the fourth color on a driver, so that none of the wires are the same and I don't hook up my diode to the battery input)

How much would shipping to the netherlands cost for 100 feet or so?

first class, no tracking it would be about the same as within the states.
international shipping doesn't get expensive till you get to a few ounces or more.

normally, a 6oz. package costs about $5.50 to ship internationally, and 100ft of wire is probably going to be 2oz or 3oz max.

So far the most popular choice is black/red/white/blue?

We're well on our way!

The company informed me there is a 2 week lead time as they manufacture the wire once I give them the go ahead. They will actually mail me the wire, and send me an invoice for payment along with the wire.
Hey Moh...
I'm curious....Just a small question...
Do you have a company account open with that wire company...
Or does your Father or New to be Bride own the wire company..

I ask because I've been dealing with manufacturing companies for
a lot of years and I have yet to find one that will start a production
run for a product that I order over the phone... then ship it and only
ask for payment after I receives the parts....
For any non in stock customer ordered production runs the norm is
payment in advance...

Like I said.... Just curious...
How did you finagle that credit contract..... I could use that method on
my suppliers...

Good luck with your GB...

BTW... I wouldn't worry about the copying thing...
There has been a lot of that going around on the Forum lately...
I'm even thinking I might do some myself...

I fell the same way jake. People need to stop throwing hissyfits and just get along. We are all in this hobby together.

As I stand to not earn anything (actually i'm going to end up spending money on this GB)
Anyone is more than welcome to look into it themselves.

Of course, now i have to worry about psycho jeff attacking the guy.

I spoke the guy on the phone last night. He said that being a "small" order they would end up shipping it and i would receive an invoice and have 30 days to pay it.
I found this strange as well, but if the supplier is willing to ship me the wire and examine it before i pay, i'm not gonna argue that.

If my fiance's father owned the company we'd be getting it for a lot cheaper :D

If you look at the other lists, they have equipment to make wire at 26AWG. They obviously have the equipment to insulate wire with silicone. Mohrenberg has spoken with a representative and we have no good reason to think he's lying.

So, what's the problem here?

Aren't we all copiers? If wr use a tutorial to build a lazor ourselfs, and use someone else's tutorials are we not copying? Isn't copying a form of flattering?

Hell, I copy DTR everytime I build something.

Its because they started looking at the hobby as a job, and not a hobby anymore. They have decided that the dollar is now more important than the community. And yes we are copiers. There are very few new ideas anymore. The basic "add driver to diode, and set into a flashlight/heat sink" idea has been around for a long time. People think that doing a different flash light combo gives them the right to call it their own. IMO the only 2 people here who have any right to call their designs original are Ehgmus, and Kenom. They both have created true originals.
