Don't worry, it's fine! I just didn't want to appear ignorant, because I have actually read this entire thread multiple times all the way through to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I'm so glad that they are all done! The problem is, though, from the estimates, it seems like about a month until they will be arriving.(2 weeks manufacturing, 1 week shipping to you, 1 week shipping individually). I should have my laser before Halloween, assuming people help me out in my thread. What do I do in the meantime?! The pressure is killing me!

Thanks for a great group buy I can get excited for. I won't be using my laser indoors or burning anything at all until I get these goggles, and I will be eagerly awaiting that moment.

I'm really excited about this as well. I was worried that it was going to take quite a while to get the group buy finished, but it only took a few days after my order, hooray! (Especially since I am getting one of the other goggles as well!)

Thanks for doing this sk8nmidget! (heh, one of my cousins has a similar nickname)

ps , rocketparrotlet, do you have a parrotlet? If so, what kind?

So it looks like we reached our goal! It'll be nice to get these goggles and do some tests with the new BR pointer :cool:!

Yeah, I have two of them, Smudge and Ruby. They are both Pacific parrotlets. We keep them separate (gender issues); Ruby is more my bird and Smudge is more my mom's.

I came up with the name rocketparrotlet a few years back because I like science, like rockets, and I like animals, like our two parrotlets. Oh yeah, and there's the fact that nobody will ever take the name, so I'm pretty much set on any given site.

i feel ya, once my heatsink drops on the doormat any moment now (it should have been here ages ago, but you know dx), nothing's stopping me from playing around with stuff but the fact that i don't have goggles! ah well, i'll find another hobby in the mean time. preferably something that will make me money :p lasers ate it all

but yeah im really happy this great gb has been succesful thusfar :D thanks a million for it! you probably saved my eyes lol

That's kewl. I have quite a few different parrots. :)
1 african timneh grey.
1 pearly conure living with 1 painted conure. both are male (presumed, not tested)
1 white/violet lovebird
1 breeding pair of spectacled parrotlets
1 female spectacle parrotlet living with 1 female blue pacific parrotlet

The breeding pair has had 1 baby so far. (well, the first clutch had 1 that didn't make it past a few days, the second clutch had two , 1 lived about 3.5 weeks, and the other i handraised from the 3 week mark and is now living with my parents. :)

aaahahahah, only about a month now till we have 'em! :)

yes, pics of the googles-in-progress would be fun!

any more details how the googles are planned in detail? perhaps we can still influence the cutoff-wavelength for example, or perhaps it wasnt even spoken out to bridge? ah, i bet everything is taken care of already, have to try to relax and sit back ;-)

so some good news from bridge.

unfortunately he cannot really take any pictures of the process since it is all done inside a closed machine.
but he did send me a picture of the machine.... and the outfits they wear when coating.

that may no seem like the best news but this is.... he already started on the goggles and if everything goes as planned they may be done by mid next week :)

just a little update the goggles are nearing completion and may be shipped by the end of the week :)

also i currently have 2 pairs of broadband goggles that are available and only 3 pairs of 405nm goggles left that havent been paid for :)
