sorry guys im out, i ended up going with the die4thing meter.
I like their temperature sensor thing too much

I looked at that meter too at one point, but I didn't see any way to differentiate between wavelengths. To me it seems like it's reading all wavelengths at once, no?

Congrats me_too_lazy :D

Once you get it could you post a nice review about it. I want all kinds of detailed pix and the works. I'd really like to know more about that meter because it interests me too. Also, tell us how you see it working with really low output lasers and really high output meters :D

Gotta say I was intrigued by that one too and was considering one but I just love the Idea of connecting the LPM-1 to my PC and charting the power and printing it off.

I am thinking about getting one but I don't think I have a long-term use for it. I would like measure the 5 x torches I am making with SenKat's LDs as well as my Nova Alpha 105 that I have coming. But after that I have no real use for it.

Maybe I could sell it on to someone else in the UK for $20 less than I paid after I have tested my stuff? Either way I can't order one until payday at the end of the month.

xgeek Its a nice piece of kit and If i wasnt on the group buy already I would of said deal to you. I know of another uk person who wouldnt mind one but doesnt have the funds at the moment but I wouldnt know when he would ever have the funds so cant promise anything sorry........ But it is a great piece of Kit and I am sure it would be fairly easy to sell on....

Not wanting to dump water on a healthy fire here, but in the event the minimum isn't reached, what happens? I remember the original thread mentioning a minimum of 5, but the price was a bit higher... like $10 as I recall... is that correct?

I definitely don't mind waiting longer if necessary in order to obtain a nice meter with excellent reviews.

It seems to me like Daedal is pulling out all stops to ensure that if the original of 10 minimum is met, then it's feasible that it will be. It's certainly nice- if not sacrificial- that you've taken on this task and it is appreciated! BTW, any luck with more takers at the CPF?

If you hang on for another couple of weeks I'm very interested (unless something turns up before) as Lazergirl birthday present must be purchased with the funds I have right now Daedal...

Well I am Easy erm Flexible hmm that sounds bad either way........ oh well......... anyways this is not an opportunity to be missed and Daedal is pulling all the stops out. I dont mind waiting. TL Dont forget the present as Hell have no fury than a womans scorn.......

Thank you for your patience... I'm sorry I wasn't available to quick-reply on all the PM's the past couple of days as I wasn't feeling so good. Regardless... here are th mini-updates...

So far... a few PM's on the other forums, but nothing solid.
I know of 5 other people who presented interest. 3 of which are getting paid end of the month and should be in on this.
If things come down to it, we might have to extend the deadline a week or two, but this is going to happen... I promise.
If it comes down to it, we can have a vote on extend the deadline, or start asking people for the extra bit so that I can cover the higher price for the minimum of 5 orders.

Either way, I don't want to just to any decision prematurely. We still have a whole week, and a lot can happen between now and then... especially with paydays lining up ;)

Thanks for the update ! i can assure you, when i get my payment,.. which is probably next tuesday, i will make an instant payment to be a part of this GB.

you can count me in, and see the payment within 3 days.
(why is payday always seems to be taking that long on the end of the month !! ;) )
