9mm 904-915nm CW laser diodes $50.00 lot of 2

9mm 808nm 2W laser diode


Also, are the orange laser diodes 5.6mm cans?
How about $50 for the 125mW one? ;) ::)


Can I have a sample of the gold solder?
I use 14k gold solder for most of my lasers, and I would like to try this out if you don't mind ;)

To be honest, if you have to ask, then you probably wouldn't even notice the difference.  Except for the gold being yellow instead of silver in color, of course, but that's beside the point.

It suffices to say, it's "better".

Lower melting temp, probably better thermal conduction characteristics, etc. It's often used in situations where other non-leaded solders require too high of a melting temp for the components. For the conduction characteristics it won't make much difference for a DIYer. If you live in some country that prohibits leaded solder, I'd just (illegally) import it rather than pay for something like this, because non-leaded soldering for nearly all DIY is just plain ridiculous.

If price weren't an issue, the indium solder would be better, but when price comes into the picture it's a type of solder that is literally "if you have to ask, you don't need it."

...im too scared about fitting a tiny fragile 75 bucks diode myself :-[

First of all, c-mounts can't be "pressed in" something.
They need to be bilted to a heatsink with a screw.

Indium solders are unique because they all can stick to glass, ceramic or other materials.

In addition to use as solder, the indium and indium 3%Ag work as thermal gasket materials as well.

The gold tin and gold silicon solder has the lowest creep and one of the highest tensile strength of any known soldering material and is extremely corrosion resistant.

The 125 mw is going to cost me around 200 :'( That is if i can get that much $$ before my time limit is up.
