no guys, Im OK pitchin' in the extra dough for the good of the people. I too am eager to get my hands on these. Although the amkdeath domation fund is always open :p :p ;D ;D (amkrlz@surewest.net iz ma paypal)

The money has been paid (after a LOOOOOT of running around) and so all we gotta do now is wait for em' to ship it to me!

regarding the monies transfer:

Yesterday, I was out a few hours running around to different Western Union agencies... and each of them gave me a different excuse:

Safeway W/U: *swipes my debit card* *swipes again* *frustrated, the man swipes the card furiously (I was scared he was going to break the card lol)* "I'm sorry, its declined" WTF so My dad uses his debit: "declined also" credit: "declined also" Defenitely a problem on HIS behalf

W/U at check cashing place: OK so the fees will be a 26 dollars, a 50 dollars, and a 150 dollars. "WTF" Oh yea, and we only accept cash :-?

Cash1 W/U agent: Sh'let meh shee yer ferm... *hands over form* *agent sighs, spitting over the window* :-? :-? *oshlay, paymensht pleesh* *oh shorry we dunsht accepsht debit, our pin pashd is broken.

Andother Check Cashing / W/U place: Oh sorry we are closed.

and basically all of the W/U agents in my area...

TODAY:

*I head straight to the Bank*

*I withdraw all t3h dough from t3h account, in cash (teller confused as to why I am withdrawing so much at once in cash)*

* I head to another safeway *

OK sir, heres the dough, heres the form, send it!!

*I realize im short $26 measley bux*

*head over to ATM, get t3h dough, come back*

guys computer crashed (just my luck) so he has to boot up another machine and reenter info

Counts and stores money

Gives me receipt, and says im good to go. In the car I realize the man might not have been sober, because He typed all of the u's as v's....

S.O.B. is right!!

and i still has no SLI connector fer t3h 8800GTS's in my system, so I has Rundll32 errors every 5 mins lol....

so, how was YOUR day lol

regards,

amk

interesting day AMK... i had a similar bad experience. my washing machine overflowed big time and half my upstairs is flooded and some seeped through the floor into the garage ceiling... i got water damage pros to handle it after i spent 4 hours getting water up right after it happened..

about $800 and 4 hours down the drain because of a malfunctioning washer.. :(

can't wait for those PHR803Ts though! please update us when you get them and ship and what not.

I think I'm going to crank my last diode up to 200ma from 170, 10ma at a time to see if it can take it. :D

I'm usually cranking the diodes 1 mA up at a time, because knees are usually quite short and you might not notice one until it's too late with 10mA steps

Do you have an efficient process for testing in 1 mA increases?,... I think I might be to lazy right yet to solder/de-solder diode/loads repeatedly.

do this:

(+ from battery)--(+ multimeter lead)  (-multimeter lead)--(+ in on driver)--|===DRIVER=|(+ to LD)

(- form battery)---------------------------------------------------(- on driver)-----|=========|--(- to LD)

THen set your multimeter to the 200mA range (for the PHR's) and make sure the multimeter leads are in the correct sockets on the multimeter. Then Fire up the battery, and it will show you the mA going into the LD. Have the LD pointed to a Laser power meter, and being the mA up 1 by one until you reach your desired mW.

this is called (hookin' up your multimeter in series with the input)

cool, thanks for the tip. I thought this had to be tested at the diode side of the driver so I couldn't bring myself to do it because of my cheap flaky meter.
