Updated the OP again. Email dispatched with more question for Justin. I'm beginning to feel bad about all those emails... ><

A pointer doesn't necessarily have to have the anniversary engraving, but this is the only run of them I plan on doing.

We do need ten or more orders to move forward though.

Should have a bigger price list soon.

Engravings kind of give some hosts a little bit of personallity

I'm definitely interested in a Rigel at that price. I'm going to have to do my bills first before I can commit but I'll know by your 7/5 date. Do you have an idea when payment would be due? Not sure how crazy I am over the engraving though to be honest. One last question if I may. How are their ratings? when they say .6-1.9mw for the base Rigel is that pretty spot on or is it like CNI when they say 2mw and most come in closer to 10?

The 0.6- 1.9mW 594's will def not come in at 10mw.. Lg even has the riegel 6 at 2-9mW which could be a huge crap shoot. For the higher outputs I would go 589, if you want a more unique wavelength thats more orange buy a 594.

Thanks for the info. 589 would be incredibly cool but I don't like paying $1+ per nm of wavelength.

Like I said I'm too familiar with Laserglow but as long as their stuff is up to spec I'm cool with that. This is really tempting....

For sure. This is just a thought but maybe you guys forming this, Ave, and laserglow could work somthing out and he could throw an announcement up top. I mean the lasers are engraved with laserpointerforums and laserglow would obviously benefit.. Which could help you guys reduce the cost even more as well as get more people on board. Like i said.. Just a thought lol. Please dont flame me.

The only eligible pointers are the Rigel-2, Rigel-5, and Lyra. The specs on their website pretty accurately describe what you'll get. They're binned according to actual output, as far as I know.

Engraving is optional, but your pointer will cost the same with or without it.

Is the Rigel-5 stable at 5mW or does it always jump around between 2.0-4.9mW like LG is telling on there website? :thinking:

If it is not like they claimed, and working at stable 5mW (+/- 1mW) I´m in for this one with the LPF engraving :beer:

Trevor, I dont think I can swing another $250 + by July 5th. As much as it pains me to say, I'm going to have to swtch mine to the Lyra. Just too many other commitments at the moment.

Were you ever able to get an eta on the Rigel 2 anyway?

I am not sure. I'll ask Justin and see if I can get a power graph. I think it'll probably stabilize at a power between 2.0 and 5.0mW.
