Good idea Simon!

Laserglow has the 30% discount sometimes... if we can get them for $200 engraved I´m sure 5 people would jump on these.

Never saw 593.5nm in reality before.

You know, it really helps to fully read a post. I just noticed the specs on the original z-bolt laser include a rear clicky on/off switch. I had just assumed it was a "normal" pen style host with a momentary switch. :)

False. This is Laserglow now.

So I talked to Justin today and he was willing to give a similar discount on the Rigels that he is on the Lyra B5's - 16.9% to be precised.

Whose decision does that affect? :D

Why do you hate my wife so? Are you trying to get her put in prison for murder? :eg: I'm sure you have forgotten I just not that long ago talked her into a large expense. :whistle:

Questions:
1) Is this the Rigel or the Rigel HV?
2) Can we pick and choose the mw value for each laser or is it all or nothing?
3) Are we still talking about engraving them?

If this is the one that normally sales for $299, I *might* be able to do it depending on time frame when you place the order. It would be mighty tight though, so I can't really commit yet.

Heehee. My bad. :angel:

1) HV was not specified - logically, I want to say it's the regular Rigel. I'll circle back with Justin and see if I can extend it. :)
2) Well, the $499 model is the only flagged as in-stock, but I think with enough lead time I might be able to get the lower end ones too. I'll add that to my email.
3) If I get at least ten orders together, the engraving is included! :D

Put me down for at least the Lyra b5 for now. I may change it to the Rigel if we can get the $299 ones back in stock. Much of this is up to when you have to get the money. You are shooting for a min of 10 before ordering correct? What happens if you can't get ten units? Do we just keep waiting till we do?

Okay. I'll go ahead and update the OP with the current interest.

We need at least ten units for included engraving and a good discount. Sub-10... I think we're looking at something like $75 per Lyra.

Not sure what we'll do without ten orders... but I'm pretty confident we'll get it rather soon. :)

EDIT: Simon, DJNY, jcranmer - added you to the tentative list with the lower-end Rigel until I'm told otherwise. :p

Have you considered changing the graphic? It might generate some more interest if the graphic and font was a little more interesting. It shouldnt cost anymore to make it more elaborate if the size is the same.

Now I'm getting confused...
Are you saying that the original idea for a anniversary item for around $50 is now looking to be more than 5 time that pricing ? (Power of course being also increased.)
Because I am more than willing to consider purchasing my first new laser in support if it stays at a lower price point. But a 5 fold increase pushes it waaaaaay out of my "mad money" range.

There's two options: the 5mW Lyra at ~$55 and the more expensive Rigel. Take your pick. :)
