NOW 447nm CNI lasers & GB #11

Any word on this Glenn? How close are we to submitting the order with CNI?

I miiiight be able to order a GLP-589 1mW to my order if this would help the cause and the order hasn't gone in yet....

Glenn, wha'ts the status on that, and would that help?

Kinda worried, we haven't heard anything in a bit here.

Could the people ready to get a 598nm from CNI please PM me, and posting would be good too, also, I am hopeful that a couple of more folks will want a 447nm... as so far, the participant #s are a bit short now of the # that we need? Thanks! -Glenn

Well, i've got my 532 PGL-III-C and 447 PGL-III-C orders in with you; as I said though if the $250 589nm pens become possible *I WILL* add that to my order.

Could you possibly post A) what we have for 589 and 447, and B) what we need for 589 and 447?

I really think that will motivate people, if they see how close we are.

Yes, they claim 1mW, but speaking as someone who has been part of what, 4-5 CNI GBs and 3 CNI direct buys, THEY WILL BE OVERSPEC.

GLP-589-1mW - if they become availlable *i am in for it.*

everyone else interested, even if you've already paid, PLEASE POST HERE (and pm glenn of course) so we can see where we are. And tell your friends. and COME ON FOLKS. 589! If you've not seen it, you don't know what you're missing. And, enough of the Arctic BS. Get a PGL-III-C 447 that will work as advertised.

Maybe post "I'M IN", then with what you want... and we can get a good tally of what's going on here.

Damn right they will be! The "5mW" GLP-473nm laser I got through a previous GB puts out anywhere from 10mW-30mW depending on how warm the laser is (warmer = higher), and that's just on some plain ol' Alkaline CR2 battery measuring 3.1V. It's a gorgeous little beast!

Glenn receives special treatment from CNI, so they pick the "diamonds in the rough" to give us the highest-spec lasers in the batch.

I'd like to see how many people are willing to get the 589nm laser, because I may just get in on this as well. This is certainly less pricey than the 473nm I got the other time.

Glenn, is there a set limit to when you will close the GB and put the orders in?

I'm in for the PGL-III-C 447. I would love to get the GLP-589-1mW as well, though at this point that isn't looking very likely. I actually wish I had went for the 589 instead of the 447; but I'm not about to back out of a committed buy.

An overspec green pen sounds good to me if the GB is still open. As Overspec as possible

Does CNI even make 5mW? Seems under their league

The GB *is still open*, we're trying to get more 447nm (blue) orders and more 589 (yellow) orders to make it happen.

The list of lasers that are available through this GB are on the first post of this thread.

They do officially make the GLP-532 pointer in 0.6-1, 1-3, and 3-5mW ranges. Of course, unofficially... They make them up to 150mW, at least.

For the past 10 GBs interest has been high on these; 589, 473 ... it just seems the whole arctic craze killed interest. :\

I may switch my GLP-589 to a PGL-III-C 589 if this goes on much longer though. I don't know from Glenn if that'd hurt the order though; as it may be 10x GLP-589's not just 10x 589's.

I'll do whatever's better for the GB.

If anyone's reading, and considering a 589 or 447, this would be the time to do it...
